Due to the current climate, the DS and WVL class buses have been grounded until further notice as no longer economically viable to run them. They all have big stickers on the windscreen saying "VEHICLE STOOD DOWN". A big shame as they were some of the best buses to drive but very thirsty hence being stood down. It’s not the end though surely, they just acquired two Scania’s last year. This will probably be until the schools go back

Probably dont need replacing at the moment as they're not currently needed. GNE have stood down a number of vehicles until they can start running a full service again

Nothing - a vehicle being stood down doesn't mean it's necessarily being replaced. They operate on school routes and many schools have shut so no need to have loads of buses sitting around especially Volvo's & Scanias which, as mentioned, are fuel thirsty vehicles compared to Enviro 400's.

Yes as vjaska mentioned just long term storage, nearly all of them have had the Euro 6 mods done so are sticking around but just won't be used in service until schools reopen or another important need comes up.

There was talk of moving TPL926/7 to the Hertfordshire fleet when the 2 school routes go (can't even remember which myself).

Same story with Ensignbus and the B7’s and Tri axles, a few others and a load of single decks, all currently SORN as not required

Post COVID could we see the 389 & 399 merged and the H3 withdrawn?

Post COVID could we see the 389 & 399 merged and the H3 withdrawn? Merging 389 and 399 wouldn't save any resources, given that they already share a bus. As for the H3, again there wouldn't be a huge saving as the bus would still be required for the 631. Granted you would save a bit of mileage.

Post COVID could we see the 389 & 399 merged and the H3 withdrawn? There are no plans to make any changes to any of those routes.
