Few questions about Sullivan's fleet. First off, are the Enviros in the fleet (so 58-64) permanent and if so, will they replace anything? I wonder whether those 7 + the 3 WVLs will swipe out 5 early ELVs, DEL1 (which isn't DDA compliant) & the remaining WVL5, WVL8-10. Second off what are the plans for the 355 & B77 when they run into the LEZ? Perhaps WVL2-4 from the current London fleet move there. As far as I know, DEL1 should be DDA compliant, pretty sure everything bar minibuses is DDA post Y reg IIRC. Also, as far as I know, E58-64 are permanent and will replace older vehicles on non TfL work once the extras finish - not sure what will be replaced but I believe the two TPL's, the oldest ELV's & WVL's plus ALX6 could possibly be the casualties. I think it's good that they are replacing them as older vehicles have given up (PDL26, ELV5, WVL7) so good job Sullivan's. I will miss ELV2-6 however, I know they will be turning 20 next year though I would question whether it was worth buying 58-64 when E40-44 are coming free next year and DS54-62 are coming free in 2022.

I don't know what has already been reported, so maybe apologies in advance. This morning, DS61 was a schooltime extra from Edmonton to Chase Farm, on the W8. I understand that this is not the first day. Also, E54 has digital blinds, front, side and rear. Provincial style, not TfL.

According to the Sullivan Buses facebook group and posts from Mr Sullivan himself, South Mimms yard has been expanded by purchase of the adjoining yard - a RM was the first bus into the new section.

Could Sullivans route 398 be up for risk of withdrawal. IMO not the route it once was and seems very empty.

It definitely is a shadow of what it once was as it’s now only really just peak hours service and a single midday journey and it terminates at Borehamwood Tesco and doesn’t even reach Elstree & Borehamwood station (not even the Watford projections serve it) so not useful for any commuters or be used as a shoppers bus. At one point, he tried it as a hourly service between Watford and Potters Bar. I suppose it’s because there are already alternatives that locals could use such as 84 and 306 and the only unique link it provides is between South Mimms/Clare Hall and Borehamwood

I believe it’s actually commercial and has no funding from HCC. If it was a HCC contract, it would have been mentioned on the timetable that it was a HCC contract Edit: Sorry, it is partly funded by HCC. For some reason, Intalink are displaying an old timetable which didn’t have funding. The peak journeys are commercial and some funding was provided for the between the peaks hourly service since March 2021

I wonder whether for the 549/298s extra bus Sullivans will purchase 2/3 of the decommisioned Abellio MMCs from BC?

In the latest tendering announcement (5th August) Sullivan Buses has retained routes 217, 617 and 629 all with existing diesel double-deck buses. PVRs unchanged.
The new contracts commence on 2nd April 2022 (617/629) and 4th June 2022 (217).

E58-59 & WVL2-4 are transferring to the non London fleet - they will receive LED blinds (or gain back in the case of the WVL’s)
