Any particular reason why AE24 seems to be the only bus operating the 327 at the moment instead of its allocated vehicle (SL98)? Doesn't really specifically need to be allocated SL98, AE24 is another single deck vehicle that can work on its contract as long it's single deck vehicles as specified. Bare in mind Sullivan tend to mix allocations with the W9 and the 217 commonly not achieving full allocations on its specific vehicles. Only mentioned it as it used to be pretty strictly allocated to the 327 before last summer. elcesteem16 's comment regarding maintenance is interesting, the route SL98 usually is on nowadays is the 298 which is easy to sub vehicles on/off if necessary.

I haven't seen those routes yet)

Hertfordshire County Council's BSIP (Bus Service Improvement Plan) makes reference to a project to improve bus priority along the entire route 306 (Watford-Borehamwood). Sullivan Buses for its part would look to use any time savings to increase frequencies.
The BSIP states that there is a critical need to address evening and weekend networks across the County generally, which could see more resources for the 306 at these times.

Does anyone know why AE23 hasn't been refurbished yet despite AE20,21,22,24,25,26,27 are all refurbished as part of the W9's contract renew?

If only Kent could do the same !

Never seen this before but there are 4 W9 busses standing at Southgate station. How does this happen for a 4bph service?

Sullivan is probably the best operator now in terms of fleet variety.
