Is it the bus station controller position? TFL pay their staff really well. 32k - more than a bus driver. The equivalent person who managed a train station would only get around 25k and probably be expected to do more than one station!

I'd almost be tempted, but don't know if they'd be able to feed my overtime habit- it's a better basic than i'm on now, but falls well short on what I actually get!
I suspect i'd probably come up against an age barrier too!

I have know people to earn about 60K, but obviously if staffing is better less overtime opportunities. I'd almost be tempted, but don't know if they'd be able to feed my overtime habit- it's a better basic than i'm on now, but falls well short on what I actually get! I suspect i'd probably come up against an age barrier too!

I applied for one of those jobs a few years ago. I sailed through the interview stages until one portion of the interview where they tested for colour blindness. I'm red/green colour blind and since I failed that part of the test I didn't get the job. Something to do with Health & Safety and not being able to identify emergency signal lights

Thanks for the heads up, it's a London Underground CSA job. Think I'll stay put with where I am now unless a bus driving job comes up.

Thanks for that Swadbus. I might pop up there and go through the process. I failed the driving assessment back in 1995. I was told i didn't have enough driving experience.
