I think if stand space was better and the route was more reliable the 112 could always be extended to Woodside Park, it can take deckers along Woodside Park Road like on RRP, and then the 383 could be withdrawn between North Finchley High Road & Woodside Park and obviously extended to Finchley Memorial Hospital Aren’t the roads in Woodside Park too narrow for the 112? Double deckers have run down to Woodside Park along the same routing on Railway Replacement - I've been on a VPL as well as seen others do it though the only issue is longer vehicles can't do a full swing when turning around outside Woodside Park Station.

Though it would create new links such as to the popular Finchley Lido area, Brent Cross ultimately & would also create links to the East Finchley schools.

The 383 extension makes perfect sense as it's a nice efficient use of resources plus boosts links within the hospital catchment area which the 112 does not serve, unlike the 383.

Not to be pedantic but I find the 383 extension a waste of money, particularly when the 382 can just do a double runner round the hospital. in terms of scheduling, the 382 doing a "double run around the hospital" may mean adding an extra bus to the schedule. Likewise, the 383 extension may be more beneficial for the areas it serves Also the 383 I gather serves more of the hospital catchment area than the 382. This is often a major criteria in planning services to hospitals.

I get it would create new links but it's wholly unsuitable for an extension and not in place of the 383's existing links.

Could the 383 also be extended to Hadley Highstone due to its short buses?

Could the 383 also be extended to Hadley Highstone due to its short buses? Little to do with the length of it's buses but whether there was any demand and whether such demand could warrant expenditure in extra resource

Quick question here: Have Uno purchased their ex-Metroline BYDs for the 692/699 yet? Its been a long time and if Uno havent grabbed it it could go to another operator so Im guessing they are currently in reserve right now sitting in air for a while. These could be used for school extras though would love for a comeback?

Another operator can't snap them up, Uno were the people who purchased them, they must be hovering around somewhere, but Uno are definitely going to get them.

383 spare Enviro 605 has gone for refurbishment. It'll receive the same moquette, route branding inside&out as the 15 plate examples 601-604 It's arrived back, but doesn't appear to have route branding just yet.
