It looks very weird with one of those on a school route with a different company. Has it had a spruce up it looks very smart? It also feels weird knowing we have already entered the era of acquired / second-hand electric double-deckers. I've only just realised that wow.

They were a trial batch of buses, I don't think Metroline actually owned them, BYD loaned them to TfL for the trial and when the trial was completed, the vehicles went back to BYD and BYD were free to do with them what they wanted to do. At least they have found a use for them, unlike the two batches of hydrogen buses that were on the RV1.

The BYDs have the route 614 (and maybe 644) on the blinds. Here’s hoping they actually make an appearance on it one day🤞

1473 has finally arrived at Hatfield and it now has rather unusual 3+2 seating found on the lower deck.

That's one strange layout, an arm rest would've been nice 😂 Does look like a safety hazard though

It was done by BYD back in China as I beleive that is the Chinese way. I am surprised this is allowed here, does that meet TFL standards? I wonder how to second deck upstairs looks like?

London Country acquired some AEC Swifts with 3/2 seating at the rear many years ago. Coaches used for school trips often are upseated in this way.

Did Uno purchase all 5 of the ex-Metroline BYDs, or just 1472/4/5?
