Did Uno purchase all 5 of the ex-Metroline BYDs, or just 1472/4/5? All 5 as it says in the post containing the twitter link further up the previous page.

1471 may not have arrived? The five quoted in the Twitter comment includes a single decker, previously GAL EB1 (LC63CYA).

Simple but neat and effective literally just saw this on Twitter as well. Looks fantastic, really wish TfL would look at expanding what Uno are doing to more routes in London

Simple but neat and effective Not sure if it's just me, but with the increasing amount of electrics on our streets now is it necessary to be wasting money on electric branding? I imagine the first few would have been fine but now electrics range in all sorts of areas and already stretch from Croydon on the 312, to Waltham Cross on the 317, to Romford on the 174 and soon to Heathrow Airport on the X140. It's a lot like how the early Hybrids got the nice liveries, but later they all just got the sticker which electrics currently have anyway. If Uno are spending their own money on this then they might as well do it as it's their bus and their choice, but I hope TfL isn't funding this.

I presume you mean "wasting money on electric branding" than "wasting money on electrics"? If you did, then I agree, there's not much of a need for so much branding, a small design like the hybrids would suffice for them.

Electrics certainly are not a waste of money

New branding for the BYDs 👇 I really don't want to sound negative but really what was the point is going to the effort with these buses on the road for a couple of hours a day max? I really don't think the school children will be too bothered. Electric vehicles are everywhere now and not just buses so do we really need to be promoting them? they are now going to be standard for buses going forward.
I know this probably never cost that much but still a waste of money when budgets are tight.
Sorry again for being a Mr Grump.

I love this! It would be good to see more electric vehicles shouting out their credentials. Imagine the impact of a metallic lightning bolt vinyl down the sides and big, shouty messages about all-electric and zero-emission new buses for London.

There probably won't be any impact as electric buses are everywhere now and I doubt someone will all of a sudden see the branding and feel inspired to ride a school bus. The livery was alright when the electrics were new, but what's the point now when we literally have hundreds.
