Their not actually 😊 Some of 294s 16 reg E400 MMCs have been refurbished, they were originally repainted but 1 or 2 have been fully refurbished however were in a poorer state beforehand. Are you sure these 16 reg MMC's have been refurbished as I can't see that being the case personally. Yes, they have, I will try and get a picture. Stagecoach generally repaint their buses every 2-3 years at NS still however I have seen 1/2 that have received a exterior repaint and new moquette, the grab poles have not been painted though.

I'm aware of the repaint policy, was every 2 years and then they stopped it for a while but I've not heard of a case where buses have been refurbished during a contract especially involving buses just 3 years old (ex 15 hybrids were for the 56 contract and the UNO one is due to some new partnership thing going on so completely different).

I wonder if we are heading towards a standard corporate interior for all London Buses. I actually do like this especially on CT Plus E400 Cities.

I might be missing something but these are just repaints of which I'm aware Stagecoach have a repaint policy at roughly every 2 years or so. The pics don't tell me that they have been refurbished?

I wonder if we are heading towards a standard corporate interior for all London Buses. I actually do like this especially on CT Plus E400 Cities. If this were to be the case, I'm not sure the silver poles should be kept, I think these alternative colours would be preferable: Gold - as on vehicles run by CT Plus and Sullivan (plus Arriva's HAs), the use of gold poles gives a very unique and retro interior Red - this could go quite well with the red moquette, resembling the blue interior on the Northern Line, using bright colours and focusing on the red brand of buses in London White - gives a lighter and neutral appearance, certainly has been effective with Arriva's interiors Black - more contraversial, but I think this works very well in the Class 345 interior, providing that lighter colours are used for interior panels to contrast. Perhaps a Class 345-style interior could be introduced across the TFL network, but with a different moquette for each transport mode? Also, with the older LTs due to be refurbished soon, could these end up receiving the TFL moquette (as used by CT Plus etc) instead of the current interior?

As for interior I’ll grab a picture in the next few days but as I said only 1/2 have been done all the rest has been repainted and as you said you thought it stopped I was providing evidence that NS continue to do these repaints.

I do however like the tube style maps inside I think they should have them on every bus minus the branding It would mean every bus would have to stick to the same route all the time it just wouldn't be practical. The best way to do it is brand up 75% of the allocation like what happened in the Barkingside trial leaving 25% with no branding which leaves enough vehicles to use across all routes when daily allocations inevitably stray. For me, TfL chose the wrong areas to brand up - personally, I'd of chosen the R or U routes as a test bed along with the X26 which was meant to receive branding at one point. The advantage with the R & U routes is they all serve a common major place (Orpington for the R routes & Uxbridge for the U routes) - buses could adopt a colour code system with matching livery like what has been done outside London with various networks (MK Metro used to do one such scheme, Network Harlow attempted one though it wasn't thorough enough). For Uxbridge, you could emphasise the 'U' part with some catchy slogans along the lines of, "U can reach Brunel Uni by bus" - TfL need to get creative if they're going to do it succesfully and I fear the 383 (which seems a random route to choose) will miss the point.
