VLP21 or any London Sovereign VLP. Anyone who has been on one will argue they are the best B7TLs in London by a country mile. Until then, I'll stick with BN's VLA's and the former ETB Gemini's Apart from the wheelchair totally-unfriendliness of them, I do agree that the East Thames VWLs are decent rides

VLP21 or any London Sovereign VLP. Anyone who has been on one will argue they are the best B7TLs in London by a country mile. The visual state some of them are in suggests otherwise! Last time I had a ride out on the 292 route a couple of months ago, one of them had scratched up paintwork so there were patches of metallic grey showing. Another had gaps in the gasket glazing which you could stick your fingers through to reach the outside world. I will never forget the first BT VLP I went on. The clapped out thing somehow found its way on to the 13 so I sampled it. Some of the interior lights were not working, the engine was overrevving something awful with severe gearholding issues impeding acceleration and there were some evident air leak issues - www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4g3CQj2FmsThat bus is screaming exactly like how ADEs 8, 20, 30 and 45 do at AV. Sounds awful. sometimes you just want it to shut up ;D ;D ADE8 is the worst. from 1st gear, it screams loudly, ADE30 also starts from 1st but quietly, ADE45 from 2nd and ADE20 from 3rd

My other favourite B7TLs are the 52-plate refurbished PVLs, especially the ones at NX

My favourite Euro 3 DLA, DLA329 which was on the 50. It is quite quick compared to its sisters within 109 batch. I still love how it still has the original Arriva sign and skirt. I hope it will not be refurbished in the near future.

This has come up before and I never recall seeing a wheelchair user struggle to get on/off VWLs. But what do I know as I have only driven them Until then, I'll stick with BN's VLA's and the former ETB Gemini's Apart from the wheelchair totally-unfriendliness of them, I do agree that the East Thames VWLs are decent rides

Many buses I have driven do that a little bit after a cold start but it usually dies down after a few minutes

They're pretty good though I don't find them as good as the VWLs, personally.

Many buses I have driven do that a little bit after a cold start but it usually dies down after a few minutes On AVs and PKs ADEs, they just keep going until the bus stops. ADE8 definetly was screaming since delivery and ADE45 I think was screaming since delivery as well . not sure about ADE20 and PKs ADEs. however, ADE30 just started very recently . Not sure what is causing it really. Have never heard it on any other bus. That bus is screaming exactly like how ADEs 8, 20, 30 and 45 do at AV. Sounds awful. sometimes you just want it to shut up ;D ;D ADE8 is the worst. from 1st gear, it screams loudly, ADE30 also starts from 1st but quietly, ADE45 from 2nd and ADE20 from 3rd Park Royal also have some 62 Reg screamers....suprised they havent sent them back I'm surprised they haven't tried themselves to fix them. passengers must be getting earache from those. I don't think anyone's complained yet though

DLA313 on the 159 today was a pleasure to ride. Sounded healthy enough and managed to get some kickdown and high revs
VLA65 on the 2 sounding absolutely lovely, got to hear some kickdown
