M1199 Did you have a ride on the train? I am envious of your photos at Moorgate Great photos and vids aswell Some of my efforts, Firstly, at Earl's Court with the 19:15 Kensington Olympia - Moorgate, look how packed the station was! Secondly, at Baker Street with the 20:10 Moorgate - Edgware Road, again packed out. Probably my favourite video, very nice to see the train come to a halt here and power out on full steam And thirdly, at Great Portland St with the final westbound trip, the (delayed by problems on the SSL) 22:40 Moorgate to Earls Court at Great Portland St, felt sorry for the guys on the other platform as the C stock rushed in! I've also got some piccys up on my flickr site : www.flickr.com/photos/steve09photos/ Unfortunately I didn't. When the ticket prices were released I thought that the cost vs journey time was just too much. especially as I could go down to Didcot, pay a tenner and ride a pannier (or whatever) all day long! .....HOWEVER, after witnessing what I saw, I wish I put my name down for the ballot I like your shots of No.1 passing through Farringdon alongside the C stock, such a contrast, and your video at Baker St, the way she steams up and fills the air.......excellent! Unfortunately I wont be around for 'Steam on the Met' or the 'Rickmansworth Festival' (which could also see steam) events in May, I'll be across the pond doing a 2.5 week road trip from LA to Vegas via Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Death Valley & The Grand Canyon to celebrate my 30th birthday, although I cant wait for that, I'm rather disappointed to be missing out of these events.

I too thought the prices were a bit steep for me (as a student haha), reckon it would have been priceless for people with memories of travelling on steam trains though. I might go to the other events later in the year Enjoy your road trip ;D
