This thread takes me back over 40 years when I worked as conductor at the long gone Dalston garage , we had an RM dumped at the back of the garage which was well stripped for spares and we all expected it to withdrawn as it appeared beyond hope. However it was taken into the pits and surprisingly rebuilt. I think it was RM1630 but could be mistaken. Wnen returned it was initially used in the training fleet with the glass behind the cab removed and the extension to the handbrake for the instructor. However after a few months myself and my driver signed on for an early turn on the 11's and it was allocated as our bus . Going down Bethnal Green road I noticed that something was amiss , my driver had the blind down behind him, however there was no glass installed. Imagine his shock when i move the blind and said good morning he nearly jumped out the cab ( we were stationary at a stop). Oh happy days and memories

Anyone seen Tower Transit's WH31125 (SK19 FCN) of late? Not tracking on LVF for a month now. Thanks!

Very random.

Has anyone checked out e-bay? No but it would be super expensive. And there's me thinking my 50p bid would be enough!

Can I suggest to the admin a New Thread for memories of past bus employees. There is a vast amount of history out there which will be forgotten. Most of will sound to outrages to the younger members to be true , but trust me there is so much that is unbelievable but true. The TV series On the buses was factual but believe it or not toned down. In the 60's, 70's and 80's there were so many things we did that in todays world would seem unbelievable but were true. Would be great for these memorie3s to be shared. As a starter I remember the bus in front of us running out of fuel in Bethnal green road and we pushed it into the side with our bus (RM's) we put 2 seat bases between the buses and no damage done. Problem solved and everyone happy , but in todays enviroment a big no no

Thank you for letting me join this forum. 😁
I notice VWH1413 (LK13BHZ) Metroline has been missing since 5th July. Was last used on route 302, and was also fairly common on 460. This one is distinct as the exterior has an Westminister college advertising skin attached and also the only one of Gemini 2 B5LH fleet at Willesden out of action/VOR.
Would anybody have any inside information why this was taken off the road? I can only speculate refurbishment/ or save for an extra as I remember seating looked an bit tatty.
Thank you in advance.
