Might not be as major but DE1587 hasn't seen service since last week. Wonder whether it's been withdrawn?
Must say the 2 09 reg AH DEs that have come to W I like so I do hope they stay although I wonder whether 1587 only came to cover for perhaps a VOR. I think it's safe to say 864 is withdrawn especially now that 1004/1010 have made it.

I've noticed that the Metroline Hydrogen buses haven't been in use since early February (mostly). Does anyone know why this might be? Seems strange for new(ish) 'environmentally friendly' buses to be withdrawn when older buses still in use.

Not withdrawn - just out of service as a part was faulty in a member of the batch in Aberdeen.

Thanks for that. I'm aware new technology takes time to bed in and it took an age for full infrastructure to be established but think Wright's might need to resolve with their supplier quickly to avoid this power source falling too far behind electric and other. Might this also explain the absence of West Midland' buses as the earlier ones don't appear on bustime.org?

It was a faulty bracket in Aberdeen so all similar buses were removed from service for investigation and subsequent rectification. Manufacture of an alternative fixing is taking time.

WHD2721 is the only WHD that hasn’t gone back into service since the batch were taken off service. WHD2721 hasn’t been in service since 30-01-2022.
