8801-8805 Have Been Withdrawn. Due to reliability issues. Same with HOV1 Whereabouts will they end up? Wonder if they'll get sorted out like the 360's did (which seem to work fine) and then sent on to another operator. To be quite honest the R70 was an odd choice of route for hybrids anyway, hardly hits pollution hotspots. The 380 was only chosen because of pollution in the Blackheath area, and the 129 likewise for Greenwich. They were put on the R70 so the 290 could use existing buses for the time being. Also not really an odd choice at all tbh. They were sitting at TF for ages when the 129 was lost. Also I think the 129 was a good choice because IMO the 129 is a waste of fuel IMO.000

The 380 since the PVR was increased to 11 was always short of of 1 MPD. When 34368 caught fire it then lost another so an ALX 200 was allocated to it. In 2011 the 380 PVR was increased to 12 and the Tempos allowed that to happen.

Does anyone know what's going to happen to 8801-8805 (the Electrocities) 8801-8805 Have Been Withdrawn. Due to reliability issues. Same with HOV1 HOV1 was a loan from Optare it is a development vehicle and started life as a diesel at NEC show in 2007. 8801-8805 were some of the earliest hybrids from when parts were specially made. There was a lot of guesswork in the design and some parts were whatever was available rather than what ideally should be used. My guess is they will be rebuilt and sold to someone. Some other late 2008-mid 2009 hybrids have also been rebuilt, Arriva's HV1-5 went to Sweden and software etc was redone to later production spec. I don't think the 10 Tempos have been upgraded yet to recent production spec.

TC's DW 3 has been missing for absolutely ages! It re-entered service a few days ago - I haven't observed it yet but I'm guessing it's refurbished. It was in the yard at LV a few weeks ago with some of its front panels removed - RTC damage?

It's TFs shortest 'bigger-bus' route (yes the H20 is shorter but they wouldn't fit on it) They were initially meant to be on the R70 for type training only (before being sent off to the 490, in the end E200s ex. 350 were sent in their place) but they became stuck to it. They actually weren't that bad. IMO nothing is (or rather was) worse than the R70s old Darts.

36547 has returned from front end rebuild and what a good job they have done. It also has different front fleet numbers (font) compared to its sisters

Yeah the fleet number is more bold on 36547 and i think its a different font
