Surely it’s just an additional spare?? Yes and only to be used as a last resort. However if one of the new buses is off the road for a while with a defect or accident damage it will prove its worth. Granted, if Metroline deem its purchase to be viable then that's only a good thing - can't let my frustration take over!

The ex-300 E200s, SE38-SE46 haven’t been in service since last month. Random speculation but could it be that these are being stored for the 357 since the WVNs will be going to BX? The ex 300 E200s have probably gone for refurbishment for other contracts. I am looking forward to seeing them once done as they looked very tired after 7 - 8 years service.
The 357 is overdue but think it was mentioned here it had been given a 1 year extension but could be wrong! Don't see the route going single decker as its been said it does carry healthy peak loads. I think early Es are moving into NP for the 20 until March, they could then be used on the 357 allowing the WVNs to move to BX.

SE38-46 I don’t think have been specified for any new contracts. The 396 which is to go to RR in March should be using Existing buses from the D6 which are being as refurb floats at BX at the moment. The 300 has got the rest of the batch. So I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole lot is now withdrawn from service.
