Route W5 will be diverted in Crouch End towards Archway, via Ferme Park Road, Mount View Road and Crouch Hill instead of Weston Park, Bourne Road and Haringey Park, due to water works.

Between beginning of Feb and end of April, the iron bridge in Staines is being replaced. The road will be closed for at least 3 weeks with single lane traffic lights at other times. I suspect 203 and 216 may terminate at Crooked Billet with 117 and 290 terminating at Staines Police Station. I can only imagine how bad the congestion will be for those three months.

I suspect 203 and 216 may terminate at Crooked Billet with 117 and 290 terminating at Staines Police Station. I can only imagine how bad the congestion will be for those three months. The road is closed this Sunday too…. From 10:00 - 20:00 on Sunday 09 January, routes 117 and 290 are terminating at Staines Police Station due to bridge works. Buses towards West Middlesex Hospital or Twickenham will depart from Staines Police Station (Stop M on Kingston Road). Buses will miss the stops Staines Bus Station, High Street and South Street. From 10:00 - 20:00 on Sunday 09 January, routes 203 and 216 are terminating at Staines, Kingston Road due to bridge works. Buses towards Hounslow or Kingston will depart from the stop Birch Green (stop on London Road). Buses will miss the stops Staines Bus Station, High Street and South Street. Buses run out of service via London Road/ Fairfield Avenue/London Road to resume service. I am guessing that the same will apply during the later closure. What isn’t clear yet is what First Berkshire’s 8/8A, White Bus 438 and Carlone 442 will do.

Last time both routes were stopping but they were altering the way they were going to avoid the traffic at Bromley South. The majority of the day they were running down Kentish Way, into Elmfield Road, Bromley South and back along Kentish Way. In the evening peak, the traffic at Bromley South in that direction is terrible so the 227 and 354 were running the aforementioned diversion in reverse. Either way, I did see them serving stops on the way

Either way, I did see them serving stops on the way I thought that was the official diversion because that is all I ever saw both 227 & 354 doing last time. I don’t blame them either because the traffic lights coming into Bromley South from Masons Hill change too quickly.

It is residential street, I’m sure that was considered when the diversion was made up most likely would get complaints if 227 & 354 were using it.
