From next week the Pollards Hill-bound 152 and 655 will be diverted to run along Church Road from November 12th 2024 provisionally up until April 29th 2025, this being for long-term road works on Western Road which for the duration will become a one-way system They've called off the one way system, traffic has to endure through temp ats. There are also temp ATS over in Raynes Park. I'm seeing more 265s than 152s at the New Malden stand, the buses are bunching and curtailments galore. About 50 people were left behind at Colliers Wood and Runnymede on my bus towards Pollards Hill as it was full

Chislehurst Road has been closed due to a burst water main in the vicinity of Sidcup Place. Buses are diverting via the A20, Cray Road and Sidcup Hill As an addendum to this, the A20 slip road from Crittals Corner to Frognal Corner is closed overnight. This means the 160 is curtailing to Queen Mary’s, the 229 and 286 are curtailing to Sidcup Station and the 269 and SL3 are diverting via Sevenoaks Way, Midfield Way, St Paul’s Cray Road and Royal Parade to LOR at Chislehurst War Memorial. This means that the SL3 is currently not serving FOUR consecutive stops; Sidcup Carlton Parade, Queen Mary’s Hospital, Chislehurst War Memorial and Chislehurst Station

Had wondered why I didn't see any 152 along Church Road when I went out earlier today

Had wondered why I didn't see any 152 along Church Road when I went out earlier today From what I know, the council complained about the setup of the roadworks which led to the switch over to ATS which are the pricier ones, allegedly "intelligent". It's going to be reviewed by the council every so often during the first few weeks/months to see what system is more effective. They'll probably go with the nightly closures where needed and remain with ATS. Going to be yet more hectic few months in Mitcham following SGN works earlier this year.

Does anyone remember the running of the route under TV? Were there a similar amount of curtailments to now but just on the other end(due to garage positioning) or are these new problems under GA

Even when it was temporarily diverted to Wandsworth, the route generally wasn't turned that much

This isn't contained to one end of the route either, but it does seem like more buses terminate at New Malden than make it through to Tolworth!
