For sheer high chance of getting a bus that will be hammered relentlessly, the N8, N15, N47 when Trident operated. The N9, N87 and N89 also tend to reach high speeds but the choice of vehicles is somewhat uninspiring in my eyes. For general mad passenger antics - the N29, N35 and the N207, although the N29 was a lot better (or should that be worse?) when bendy operated. Overall my favourite at the moment is the N207 due to a combination of fast running, poor regulation leading to buses flying past each other and racing along the Uxbridge Road and entertaining behaviour by passengers, especially on weekends. I particularly like the inward bound journeys starting at Hayes By Pass on weekends. Even better if you get a driver who can't resist activating the downshift constantly to get better acceleration . The SP's downshift doesn't work at all, press the pedal down to the floor and it doesn't do anything .

I might biased and say the N8 is my most favourite Night Route out of the ones I've travelled on. This is most likely to be with the fast drivers & dual carriage ways & the Trident it uses.
However, the N8 does get boring if they chuck a Scania Omnicity on the route I had more fun on a Hybrid for starters.
Other N Routes would be more personal favorite would be the N253 until DWs came along, the route was more better with VLWs. Also the N15, N98 & N207.
I've yet to do the N29 & 279 but the only thing that is keep me astray from the N29 is all the stories I've been hearing about it even when it has it's DWs and Ts on.

Got three routes in mind for this, my local night routes: N1, N47 and (N)188. My favourite one out of all of them is the N1 as it is really fast at night. Also especially when it whizzes through Pepys Estate and South Bermondsey where it is really quiet. I like the N47 aswell as it gives a really good view of the city and of places like St Paul's Cathedral, London Bridge, Aldwych, Tower Bridge etc. and the N47 is well used at night. I'm not sure if it gets lots of passengers around Catford, Bromley or Orpington as I have only used it between Trafalgar Square and Deptford Bridge. I have never used the 188 during its night bus hours but I love the way the E40Hs just speed up along some of its roads without stopping at certain bus stops. Finally, I must also nominate N550. I've only been on the route twice and I have enjoyed my experiences on the route especially going round Canary Wharf at night and seeing all those buildings. Also from my experience, the E40Ds seem to run fast along Island Gardens and along Aldgate aswell.

I've only ever taken the 10, 27, 43, 134 and N20. The 27 is probably the best out of the lot.
The 43... tonight it just drove past a crowd of people... and the bus driver kept on forgetting to let people out. Never was a fan of that 43 anyway

My favourites have always been the N5 & N97
N5 because of the tour of Northern Line stations to Edgware instead of the long straight and boring N16. The former N59 route to Edgware was even better , taking in West Hampstead , Hendon and Mill Hill.
I used to also like the N14 down to Kingston & beyond to Chessington , the N9 when it ran Kingston - T Square via either Ham or Twickenham, and the N11 when it was operated by S with VA's to Wembley Central.
