I understand the victim and perpetrator were actually 15, not that it makes a massive amount of difference. Ironically the day after this incident there were stats released showing that the UK is becoming a much safer place to live with reductions in many categories of crime. Of course, in the Daily Mail version of the UK you are stabbed repeatedly on your front door step if you take your recycling out to the bin. Let's not have facts get in the way of mass hysteria and fear - which helps sell newspapers. Can't say I've read anything like that in any newspaper, is it perhaps you that isn't allowing facts to get in the way No. Next question.

Maybe you need to read about "hyperbole" in the newspaper, there's enough of it in there I'm just baffled as to how a thread about a murder on a bus turns into an attack on the press but there we are About as baffled as I am about how amazingly similar your postings are to those by a Mr G Manning / a Mr I Hunt / a Mr A Beedell (who posts elsewhere). Are you all related by any mischance or in "common ownership" like some newspapers? I have certainly read the above "incredulity" about the press many times before. Nonetheless our beloved press are, of course, beyond reproach, never hack phones and always tell the truth and we never had the Leveson Inquiry either. Anyway this thread started by reference to a newspaper article which was inaccurate. We also have a few members on the group who have a bit of a pre-occupation with "seeing the worst" by reading all the sensationalist agenda of the press. A bit of balance in the other direction does no harm. No one deserves to be terrified of stepping out of their front door.

Ive looked into my crystal ball.
The murderer will come from a broken home, live on a council estate and his facebook frofile will show loads of 'gansta' poses. He will have a street name along the lines of 'Tdog blood chopper' and this will not be the 1st time he has been in trouble.
His friends and family will say he is a good kid who goes to church and helps old ladies accross the road and his dream was to go to colledge.
I could be wrong............
