Former Armchair Dart DP962 (Y962KRX) is now with the South London Bus Preservation Society. Meanwhile the Bromley Bus Preservation Group has netted former Metroline Trident TPL264.

I believe this is the bus with the modified/retrofitted four speed Voith box, her original unit being the three speed variant. I always thought that specific bus from Metroline was a ZF engine whilst all the others were all Voith. Have a look at this m.youtube.com/watch?v=L9XrSm6oqOg

I think it was a ZF after all - there was a picture of the cab in a previous sale advert and the 5 button gear selector had a ZF logo on it.
Its VIN suggests it had a Voith gearbox, but the accuracy of that data is questionable in some cases. TP18's VIN suggested it had a 5 speed ZF transmission, which it didn't - unless TP18 and TP30 somehow had their chassis reassigned before being officially registered. It's possible TP30's transmission has 5 gears - a small number of Euro 2 Tridents in the UK had the ZF 5HP500 box, mostly the East Lancs bodies examples that started life with various Go-Ahead provincial subsidiaries, a couple of demonstrators and a couple of ALX400s with Finglands - credit to buslistsontheweb for the VIN info.
Another batch where the VINs and transmissions didn't quite tally was with a few of Stagecoach's Euro 2 ZF Tridents between TA396 and TAS442. TA359-TA400 had the ZF 4HP500 transmission which was the standard ZF box for Euro 2 Tridents. TA401-442 had the ZF 5HP502C box - distinguishable by the locked nature of the first gear.

Just spotted on LinkedIn that ex Stagecoach Tridents 17994 and 18203 has been converted into a shelter for the homeless . Always good to see buses being used for a good cause once their career in London is over
