If only I had the money - one of my favourite batch of Tridents Mine too! Only a pity they left the fleet so young in comparison to the unrefurbished 52 reg WVLs.

Former Airbus M1014 owned by Lee Rose. This was one of the breed with the four speed Voith gearbox (4th first kicking in at 1:29). youtu.be/yz1F9BxQ5To

Ex Arriva DDL12 (S312 JUA) still going strong (and taxed until December 2016) www.youtube.com/watch?v=MG6wPVISEjkStill sounds so good. I remember these on the 412 before it became DD. Shame they have since lost their orange seat covers which they kept for so long. Also still going are: DDL 6 and DDL 3 (according to the TAX/MOT Government site - they are taxed until March 2017 and December 2016 respectively). Unfortunately, all of the ex 407 ADL's have all now been withdrawn - i'm surprised the DDL's outlived the ADL's, given they are a year or two older. I know the ADL's are hated by some but I did love jumping on one to come home after college. I guess the ADL's to me are what the DLA's are to others

I guess the ADL's to me are what the DLA's are to others DDL12 was my favourite of the batch as it sounded more throaty on the 255 & 289. The seats were more red I thought? The ADL's wern't great - slow, clapped out and made worse by the youth of Croydon deciding they needed 'redecorating'. Didn't mind riding them the odd time but always hoped a DWL or PDL would turn up instead on the 166, 312 or 407.

The VLEs are 11m, Lots fleet books list them as 11m. Are you getting them confused with the 10.6m SLEs

No I thought thar the VLEs were 10.6m because London Bus Net labelled them as 10.6m. London Bus Net doesn't always label them with the right length - best example of this is the Euro IV Enviro 400's being listed as 9.9m when they are actually 10.1m.

So are the other LWB Volvo B7TLs like for example Arriva London VLW's and London Sovereign VLPs etc in London 11m?
