Ex GAL PDL4 up for sale on ebay Ex GAL LDP1 also up for sale on ebay I remember driving PDL4 on the N44 when there were no euro3 PDLs ready in time for me to pull out the yard and I didn't fancy a B7TL. The bus then was very sluggish at the pullaway stage but on random occasions would pullaway as quick* as the T reg Tridents First London had. I tried to do various throttle tricks to get it to perform that way again, which i managed to do but not all the time. * - engine revved up as prompt as the euro3 DW Former Stagecoach London's TA69's now remapped with similar[1] 'ZF-type' pullaway I randomly experienced with PDL4, although no functioning kickdown like mine was able to do with both performance stages. [1] - mine had a quicker engine rev up in first gear youtu.be/_Eld2nyO-LwEDIT: And a more accurate example of how PDL4 was like in 1st kickdown during that random powerboost as she has a push with the torque. youtu.be/HpMZyPlQB2s

I am amazed how easily the roof popped off .... thought the downward pressure might just crush it a little ... but then an ALX400 looks to have the flimsiest of roofs. Maybe the manufacturers have an idea it might be de-roofed given time, they build it that way. Now when Park Royal put a body on a RT chassis..................(Not my photo) Seems Gemini3/StreetDeck roofs do not pop so easily www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/shocking-dashcam-footage-shows-first-15428737

Blimey..............I thought modern buses peeled off to reduce the impact for those on the bus.

Blimey..............I thought modern buses peeled off to reduce the impact for those on the bus. Probably wasn't going fast enough for that to happen, judging from the dashcam video, and the amount of time it took for the bus to come to a halt.

Even at relatively low speed the bodywork normally crumples to absorb the impact.

Yesterday I rode 2 ex-GA buses in London with Rotala Diamond on route 635 (Wigan - Appleby Bridge).
Firstly 40414, originally Metrobus 434 Then 40630, originally LG PDL48. It still had LG at the bottom of the staircase!
40414 still had mostly Metrobus moquette. 40630 had been refurbished in the meantime, and had moquette like Uno and London Sovereign 11-reg DEs as new.

Ex Arriva London DLA340 seen in Huddersfield. Not sure who it’s with as it’s in a plain white livery but it looked as if it was on a school service
