If it weren't for the steep pedals on London General's PDLs (literally a pain in the knees), i would have gone for them as well. If Connex's 51 reg Tridents were on Voith I would have picked them as my top choice as they would've been three speeders....putting even the euro3 DB250s to shame on performance.

VA74, TA346 and a post-SP109 SP (they are actually good buses after that point). Possibly ADE8 to stop chav p***ks getting on it I would'nt mind preserving a Metrobus, these ran on the 111 until 2000 so I wouldn't remember that era, though a remember seeing Metros as late as 2002 on the 111. They used to turn up on the 120 until 2000 I absolutely loved them, I remember being really unhappy when they were replaced with B7TL's. I was only 5 then. Next time we had good buses was the few Olympian VA's that turned up in around 2003, replaced in 2005 by Tridents (fortunately ). And ADE8, would that have been on the 222 or H98 by any chance?

If I could own a few, I'd go for: MCW Metrobus mk1. - London Buses grey skirt, yellow front door and white tape band livery Leyland National mk1. - 128 Hillingdon Local Service livery Leyland National mk2. - 607 Express livery Mercedes Benz 811D, Alexander AM - The U Line livery (With the sale of Centrewest, its a shame that the likelyhood of MA1 being preserved looks very unlikely now) Dennis Lance, Wright Pathfinder - London Buses Low Floor Bus livery (Someone has to like them and they are pioneers to the London bus scene) Dennis Dart, Marshall Capital (DML41336) - First Uxbridge Buses livery (Just cause it's my favourite Dart)
One bus I'd never want to own is a Routemaster, yes they're iconic, but, in my opinion, there's far too many in the preservation scene!

I'd like to have a Citaro Bendy bus (ones from First, ex 207) and a DPS that has the "Duck Bus" Vinyls on the side... (which ran on the 283) /quack

That was departing Uxbridge on a DLE, somehow managed to ditch it a few stops later and walked back to Uxbridge Station to get a 607 ;D

My favourite bus was M999. Worked out of Fulwell, Norbiton, Stamford Brook and Shepherds Bush. Those Metrobuses had bags of character. DT5 in Harrier livery , M999 , LX5 , L314 in Airbus livery , and M1069 .

Route 436 has some of the best EHs in service. Definitely. Them and the 15's ones are my favourites. Wish both the 36 & 436 got a full allocation of them. They are fast and I prefer them to E400s.
