I know what's happening but I think a lot of people would be mad at me if I said, I know it makes redundancies as well Sad times You will find out soon but I can say it's not another London Company This post automatically raises the question of Ensign. Now I know it's not been a main aim of theirs, but if First are looking of getting shot of DM, then Ensign could be the main benefactor. It's the only non-London company that would have any interest in a London operation to me.

So nothing will change really just the Legal Lettering on the sides of the bus and the operators license disc I would imagine ? maybe the odd stray Volvo 7900 on the 368

Theres no more TUPE so if the routes do change, the new company doesn't have to take the existing staff. Im guessing you guys would have to take some kind of redundancy pay or maybe transfer to another garage operated by First Doesnt the TUPE change take place from late next year some time though ? and does it affect all industries or just the buses ? Yes, it takes place after april. Forgot about that Listening to other drivers talking about it you would think its already taken place especially with the route 434 transferring from abellio to metrobus. Not sure of the full stories but im heard some rumours that the drivers may have to transfer to another abellio garage.

Transferred to First Essex prehaps? I was thinking the same but DN33501 also said redundancies may happen.

Look like I heard wrong as this was on LOTS this morning:
On 28th May First announced that from 22nd June eleven routes at its Dagenham Depot would be transferred to Go-Ahead and thence operated from their Rainham Depot. Routes affected are 193, 368, 498 plus school routes 608, 646, 648, 652, 656, 667, 679 and 686. Relevant single-deck buses will transfer from First to Go-Ahead but Go-Ahead would use their own buses on the doubke-deck contracts. First retain four routes (165, 179, 252 and 365) at Dagenham although these will transfer to Stagecoach (who have their own new buses on order) in September and October after which Dagenham depot is expected to close.

I am wondering where they're going to find 24 buses for the schools + 498 PVR.

There's an accumulation of stored WVL's at BV plus some spare PVN's and PDN's from the 67 at NP waiting to be allocated.
