Does docklands even have space to accommodate both Routes? Wasn't the 376 changed to Rainham as no space was left. Possibly although, with the 425 leaving and assuming SI isn't at capacity then it's possible both routes could transfer. With the 20 transferring does NP have substantial space with the intake of the 327/491 and now the 20. I personally couldn't see the 167 at NP but I could see the W19 as the A406 would link both terminus. NP has operated a PVR of 132 before I don't know if it has been higher before. The maximum Capacity should be 160. Before the 67 left the PVR was 132. 67, 191, 231, 257, 259, 299, 357, 389, 399, 476, W4, W10, W16, 616, 692, 699 - PVR 132 Currently NP operates 191, 231, 257, 259, 299, 357, 389, 399, 476, W4, W10, W16, 616, 692, 699 - PVR 117 which is actually the same PVR when acquired by Go Ahead in 2012, the 67 & 257 have the same PVR. In a few weeks on 22/06/13 20, 191, 231, 257, 259, 299, 327, 357, 389, 399, 476, 491, W4, W10, W16, 616, 692, 699 - PVR 139 Now IF the 167 & W19 transfer as well 20, 167, 191, 231, 257, 259, 299, 327, 357, 389, 399, 476, 491, W4, W10, W16, W19, 616, 692, 699 - PVR 156 Which is meant to be the maximum capacity.

And SI will be a bit of a disadvantage when they lose the N551, as more spaces would be filled without sufficient nightwork. The only night work at SI would be the 474.

I have a feeling that DM might close earlier then planned as the 165 252 & 365 new contract starts on the 28th of September and the 179 starts on the 18th of October. Would they keep the garage open just for one route even if its just for 3 weeks or would it be easier to move the 179's start date to match the other routes. If the new buses are all ready delivered.

Do you think Go-Ahead will surrender one (or more) garages Can we (London United) get AF and AL (or SW). Please! It's funny how people have stated Metroline should surrender one of their Garages and now Go Ahead should. These operators are trying to expand their business IMO they should not be forced to surrender their garages no matter how much of the Network they operate. That will affect a lot of people's livelihoods as well. All 9 Garages will be going through Major changes this year need there be any more??? Now that First have dealt with their problems the operations in London can finally settle down. One of the ways many organisations like to expand their operations is buy acquiring existing structures. In fact in the Past Comfort Delgro have acquired Metroline in 2000 Armchair, Thorpes & Now 5 other Garages. Go Ahead have acquired a lot PVTISATON London Central, London General, Metrobus, Docklands Buses, St Mary Cray, Blue Triangle, East Thames Buses, Northumberland Park & now the remaining BE lot. Judging from this it seems In the past Go Ahead & Metroline have mainly been doing the acquiring of things up for grabs in London, although other operators have done it, but Go Ahead & Metroline are the most keen. I wouldn't count my finger on Stagecoach as they always seem to want to make a profit on anything they gain. First have made a decision to surrender their remaining contracts and it could have been a possibility that Go Ahead were the only operator interested in the routes and most probably Stagecoach & Arriva are not on the position to take them or may not be even interested.

'metrobus' - there is a difference between the Metroline purchase & the Go-Ahead purchase. Metroline purchasing First Centrewest has left Metroline as the only big operator in the North West. London Sovereign & Arriva The Shires are too small to make serious inroads into their work. Go-Ahead London purchasing the remaining DM routes still leaves two big operators in the area which are Stagecoach London & Go-Ahead London itself with Arriva Southern Counties nibbling at the edges.
