I have heard the rest of Ladywell Road will be closed for Roadworks. This means the traffic that normally goes via Ladywell Road will have no choice, but to go via Catford and other surrounding side roads. This may mean gridlock traffic in the Lewisham Area.
Diversions of Route 122, 284, 484 & P4 via Catford is a high possibility.

I use Ladywell Road to get to and from NX, I can either sit in loads of traffic on Lewisham Way/ Lampit Vale or go on some mega diversion to miss out the Catford one way system!!! Between 06:30 and 20:00 I am 90% sure it is gonna be grid lock!! I glad they have closed it during the school holidays!!! Although Vicar's Hill has been closed for months and that hasn't had any major effect IMO.

from Lewisham councils web site:
"During the closure of Ladywell Road, all buses will be diverted via Algernon Road, Vicars Hill, Cliff View Road, Hilly Fields Crescent, Adelaide Avenue and Brockley Grove"
So basically, buses will run via the 484 route for the majority of the diversion.
amazing what you find out when you delve deeper......

It'll be interesting to see how well longer buses fit round that section, as the 284's got 10.8m Enviro200. I suppose a swap with the 181 and R9 for shorter buses could always be temporarily conducted. I'm surprised deckers will be able to go down there on the 122! I was rather worried the 122 and P4 would be diverted via Catford, thereby cutting off the whole section between Honor Oak Park station/Forest Hill and Lewisham - the section I live on! I shall have to give the routes a try when they start the diversion.

I personally think a Temporary shuttle service for the 284 should be introduced from Catford to Lewiaham and have the normal 284 run via Rushy Green and Lewisham High Street during the diversion. IMO the diversion proposed sounds like it is going to take a long time & will be pointless for the 284 IMO.

As stated in the Info above.
522 Temporary shuttle service introduced during road works in Ladywell Road, from Brockley Rise Chandos via Stondon Park, Brockley Road, Adelaide Avenue, Ladywell Road, Brockley Grove, Brockley Road and Stondon Park. Daily, every 20 minutes. Operated by Stagecoach London with 1 bus.
Anyone know if it will be Double Decker or Single Decker?

Judging feom looking at that. The proposed diversion for the 122 & P4 is going to cause reliablity issues a temporary PVR increase for the P4 would help, now the route is going to have even more issues because of the traffic on Stanstead road. What could have been done is the E200s from the 372 sent to TL and a an early conversion to Double deckers with existing ALX 400s from the 230.

They would sooner reduce frequency rather than increase pvr

depends if the closure is for more than 12 weeks, that's the threshold for 'service changes' like PVR increases or Frequency Changes etc.
Then that all depends on resources etc...

Ladywell Road is not yet closed. 122 & P4 are on diversion. 284 is not on diversion yet and the 484 is still on diversion.
Route 522 is running with 17485 LX51FMD as I thought as this bus transferred from T back to TL.
