The text below is copied from an E Mail from Brian who created and maintains the London Vehicle Finder. It is posted here for info for those people who may not be members of Yahoo Groups where Brian posts.
Please note I can't answer any questions that might be prompted from Brian's words because he is privy to info that I am not !!!!

First the simple one..... the LTs for route 24 have been added to the new list. Hopefully as they enter service the current entry will depart and be replaced by the in service entry. This won't happen if they are in countdown as MLNEWnnn and if that occurs any sightings and identifications will be gratefully accepted.
Now for the migration of First vehicles to Metroline, Tower Transit & GoAhead. I know that TFL are quite keen for no change to be observed for a week and thereafter it will take a while for new identities to be seen on vehicles.... This gives me a problem as I believe that vehicles will start to gain their new vehicle identifiers from day 1.. or maybe even on Friday!! Whilst I have seen a view of how some of the vehicles will be identified after they are renumbered I have been asked not to make this public. Therefore.... on Friday I will load into the database a list of the vehicles that are going to Metroline, Tower Transit and GoAhead. The metroline ones will all have what I will guess as the likely class codes with fleet number 0000. The GoAhead ones will be allocated fleet numbers SEXF for single decks and EXF for the double decks.... For Tower Transit the fleet numbers will be those carried while part of first. For those vehicles going to Tower Transit I will then "withdraw" the First entry and allow the Tower Transit entry to become live as vehicles enter service on saturday. Of course should fleet lists become public before Friday I will use the real intended identities but I will not be the source of that data.
I'm lead to believe that the migration of vehicles to their new identities will be gradual over a period of weeks.... we shall have to wait and see, I have my doubts.....
The identification of what company operates a route is generally worked out by what company the vehicles working the route belong to... Thus you might expect the routes operated by Tower Transit to show as operated by them very quickly.... the routes to be operated by GoAhead & Metroline will still show as operated by First until sufficient vehicles for that route have migrated....
After the event I may attempt to sort out vehicle histories so that the history of a migrated vehicle shows as a continuous list.... in the short term I suspect this won't happen...
Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.....
---
Hopefully people will find the above helpful.
