When Stagecoach take over the 180 next October, I'd like to see NRMs for the part allocation of existing hybrids. No doubt I'll be disappointed however. That would be fantastic! I know a lot of people complain about NRMs, but personally I find them very comfortable and the seating layout is nice for families. If only that third door would open once more.... Sadly I share your pessimism, as Stagecoach might already have the spare hybrids by the time the 180 contract starts. Help yourself to all the ones in my area, I'll be glad to be shot of them.

Will gladly swap you some NRMs for the Scania Omnicitys and Gemini 2’s that run here!

When LT's were first introduced I'm sure Boris was quoted as saying that the plan was that all double deck routes were to be converted to them eventually, no matter how long it would take. Would this have ever been conceivable given the costs involved and also the fact that every new LT at that time employed the services of a conductor?
I for one would like to have seen it happen as I believe that if RM production hadn't ceased in 1968, the theoretical design changes it would've gone through in the intervening years wouldn't have looked far off the final LT design that was decided upon in 2010 and once again London could have a standard type across all areas rather than the many different variants we have today.

He had plans for a thousand to 2,000 more as I recall for london. Nobody else on the universe would of bought them ever. That really sunk Wright's and they never really recovered from that fiasco.

Why would you want everything standardised and very little variety. I would rather go to the opposite end of the spectrum and have many types of buses operating London’s routes. Unfortunately, the future looks very boring with zero emission buses as depots are very unlikely to dual source.

18 should've used New Routemasters in my opinion, 18 is packed Correct me if im wrong but believe LTs have a lower capacity than standard double deckers so how would this benefit a already busy route?

18 should've used New Routemasters in my opinion, 18 is packed It seems quite bizarre that the 18 had a frequency reduction not so long ago. LTs would certainly enable faster unloading at busy stops and for the same reason I've often thought the W7 would be a candidate for LTs if only for Finsbury Park in the morning peak.

18 should've used New Routemasters in my opinion, 18 is packed LTs have limited standing room so wouldnt be ideal for a route like the 18, same goes for the 25/29/205.

Looking likely that route 17 is the next Wish the 56 would convert to LT This is the first time I've heard route 17 as a candidate for LT conversion. This could release VWHs for route E9, or even route 328 initially if Hydrogens for route 7 are late.

The hydrogen buses are late (or a revised delivery schedule if you want TfL speak) One of the TfL Investment Board papers about 18-24 months ago said first one by March 2020, all by Autumn 2020
