The 91 is unlikely to convert from LTs as that was a posted speculation. Regarding LTs that have so far been cannibalised, it can be down to temporary shortage of parts at the depot where an unroadworthty bus is then stripped down to help keep more healthy status LTs on the road. Once parts are replenish from the suppliers the canabalised bus could re-equipped back to roadworthy condition. It's a concept that's been done for years with many bus types. The post about the 91 in this thread didn't read as speculation to me it said the 91 is slated..... thats the reason I speculated.

So where will the MMC’s go if the 332 gets the LT’s? They could stay at W and convert route 139 or 328. Then VWHs could be used to help with a bid to retain route 204. The 210 could be a good candidate for the MMC's for a contract renewal they really do sute the route.

The 186 and 204 would likely be retained with VWHs from the 125 and X140 which are now unallocated since the E9 has an allocation.

Possible, but the existing TEs and VWs from these routes are just about new enough for a retain. Same for the 245 which is due for retender at a similar time, unless Metroline want to introduce more hydrogens and use the VWs elsewhere. I think Metroline will likely use these spare VWHs to bid for new routes such as the 13 or 111.

13 definitely would make it a good rival bid for TT.

Indeed, with two Sullivan DS's being a recent example where both were cannibalised during lockdown but DS52 has since returned and the other is expected to return to service at some point.

source="/post/638227/thread" timestamp="1623594817"]I believe it's 'implied' that the 91 will convert from LTs to dual doored deckers.
Don't really like to speculate too much but could this be linked to the current LTs at HT being some of the oldest? could they be withdrawn or refurbished for use elsewhere? I believe a few older Abellio examples have been cannibalised for spare parts.
If MMCs were to transfer to the 204 then we could also see them straying on the 83 potentially? Would be great if that happened.

Could the 47,188,199 take LTs if not be retested as the 168 failed at first but passed the second time

Could the 47,188,199 take LTs if not be retested as the 168 failed at first but passed the second time The 47 has long had length issues so very unlikely for the 47. Can’t think of an issue for 188. Possibly Pepys Estate might be a problem for 199.

I live on all 3 routes used to live on Pepys estate I’ve actually seen a not in service LT go down grove street and plough way before 47 the only issue I can see is the road works on deprford church street
