Went out to try the new Northern Line extension Walk to Wood Green Station Piccadilly Line- Wood Green to Leicester Square Northern Line- Leicester Square to Battersea Power Station 2535 (344)- Battersea Power Station to the Latchmere Short walk to Battersea Bridge LT601 (19)- Battersea Bridge to Finsbury Park (stuck for about 20 minutes in Finsbury Park in traffic only to find out its caused by a bloody temporary traffic light. Hate those things with a burning passion.) HV120 (29)- Finsbury Park to Wood Green, Coleraine Road Stopped at Sainsburys and CEX for some things then had a nice walk home.
Really liked the new stations. The lighting and just how spacious they were. I assume they're built that way because of how busy they might be or something I dunno. The stations might not be busy now but I presume they will be once the development has finished.

Journey to Isleworth from home: 427 The Greenway - Hayes Uxbridge Road H98 Hayes Uxbridge Road - Hounslow (quite an interesting journey with a man threatening another man because he bumped into the other) E8 Hounslow - Isleworth station
Walk around Isleworth
H37 Talbot Road - Hounslow Blenheim Centre (H37 was really unreliable today due to the roadworks around Isleworth war memorial) Went shopping at Asda 222 Hounslow High Street - Yiewsley Library (again subject to a lot of traffic particularly as far as Cranford due to the M4 closure) Shopped at Yiewsley Tesco U3 Yiewsley Library - Brunel University Walk home

H37 Talbot Road - Hounslow Blenheim Centre (H37 was really unreliable today due to the roadworks around Isleworth war memorial) Yes these have been a bl88dy nuisance and some genius has moved the Richmond bound bus stop in South Street 200 yards further towards the War Memorial so the two stops have now joined that illustrious list of stops where you can almost get on at one via the front doors and off at the other via the middle doors I cannot even understand the reason for the South Street re-modelling there was nowt wrong with it before .................... The H37 has some star drivers who are willing to wait on seeing you running down the road

I travel a bit more on the buses for work now, with a varying location each shift at my job. This time I was heading for Stoneleigh
A10 The Greenway - Heathrow Central bus station (wanted to grab something from Nero at Heathrow today but it was 5.30am so I couldn't. Most passengers on the A10 were heading for Heathrow Airport) X26 Heathrow Central - Stoneleigh (X26 was on diversion between New Malden and North Cheam, via Tolworth and Stoneleigh. Good for me because I got to work 30 minutes early, as opposed to getting off at Worcester Park and getting a train to Stoneleigh. Saved a bit of money too. No buses were serving Worcester Park this morning due to the flooding by the station)
After work I took the train SWR Stoneleigh - Waterloo (was going to get something to eat from Waterloo but nothing of interest) Jubilee line Waterloo - Finchley Road Metropolitan line Finchley Road - Uxbridge
Decided to go to Tesco Uxbridge instead. Nice quick journey only about 1h30m by train from Stoneleigh
427 Uxbridge High Street - The Greenway

But I doubt the demand is there even as a hail&ride section.

I think Epsom and Ewell borough should be absorbed into London, it's all within the M25

Thought I'd been on all bus types in London until I've heard of some Volvo bodied Envrios and MMCs kicking about so decided to try them out. HV176 (141)- Nightingale Road to Old Street Station EHV4 (135) Old Street to Crossharbour (The fans were too loud couldn't hear the bus. Was nice to see Canary Wharf and the Docklands tho) DLR- Crossharbour to Lewisham SouthEastern- Lewisham to New Cross (was gonna get a Victoria train but they were cancelled because of signal failure) Short walk to New Cross Gate Overground- New Cross Gate to West Croydon Southern- West Croydon to Sutton Things got a bit interesting from here. Checked on LVF saw that VE1 was on its way to Sutton before 7:45pm. Check the phone after that and it somehow ended up still going towards Sutton. Eventually it showed as returned to garage. Wasn't going to wait for VE3; it was at Kingston, VE2 went to A at 18:22 so I just went home. It was getting late anyway. Walk to Sutton Station Southern- Sutton to Victoria Victoria Line- Victoria to Finsbury Park Piccadilly Line- Finsbury Park to Wood Green Short walk home

They are slow, heavy and quite dark on the interior because of the lighting. I cannot wait for them to be withdrawn and hopefully scrapped.

The VEs seem ok to me from a passenger perspective although I have heard that a lot of drivers don't like them, presumably they haven't got much longer left anyway?
