90: VMH2586 (LF19FXL) - AH - nothing much to say about this journey. Completely forgot that the route moved to AH and was treated to a driver changeover at Hatton Cross 81: VW1830 (BF10LSU) - SG - first ride on the 81. By far the nicest VW I've been on. Nice to see it still retains its original First seating moquette although one on the wheelchair bay was the Metroline moquette. H91: LT130 (LTZ1130) - V - missed the H91 in front by a few seconds so this was next. It's such a shame the H91 has to live with these LTs - very slow compared to the VH I had the other week. 23: OME46030 (YJ21EXN) - X - first ride on the 23. Bus was quite empty during most of the trip. I do quite like the ride of the MetroDecker and feel it is more interesting than the BYD E400City EV. 205: 12327 (SL14LNT) - BW - first ever Stagecoach route I've been on and first time on the 205. Easily the best E400H I've ever ridden on. Journey was nice and fast. 135: VH38113 (BU16UXD) - LI - last ever Tower Transit ride and first time on the 135. Best Gemini 3 I've ever been on. Lovely smooth, fast ride. The TT moquette works excellently with the Gemini 3 in my opinion. 15: LT945 (LTZ2145) - RR - first ever ride with GoAhead London. This ride was quite enjoyable. The LT was the best I've had by far. 9: LT128 (LTZ1128) - V - not much to say about this ride. Very packed upstairs. 110: DLE30328 (YX68UVO) AV - no H91s were on stand at Hammersmith at all so when this came I boarded. Will never ride again. Forgot the long routing it took to Hounslow!

Today (well yesterday as I'm writing this) was Tower Transit's last day in London so I went to commerate it by going on every route from LI (except 678 because it wasn't possible. And I didn't even do all of them as I'll explain later).
Piccadilly line- Turnpike Lane to Finsbury Park WV46203 (236)- Finsbury Park Interchange to Shacklewell Lane DMV44255 (488)- Shacklewell Lane to Hancock Road VN37864 (D8)- Hancock Road to Isle of Dogs Asda VH38119 (135)- Isle of Dogs Asda to Canary Wharf Station Jubilee line- Canary Wharf to Stratford WH31104 (473)- Stratford Bus Station to Newham Leisure Centre WH38119 (262)- Newham Leisure Centre to Gallions Reach Station DLR- Gallions Reach to Canning Town Jubilee line- Canning Town to Stratford
Now here things got a little sticky. Obviously Stratford got packed on a Friday night which meant that Stratford City roads were closed which meant that 308 and 339 were on diversion. So I missed the 339 which meant that I missed the last 308 to Wanstead so I called it a day and went home. It was getting late anyway. 15109 (97)- Stratford International Station to Walthamstow Market HV385 (34)- Walthamstow Market to Green Lanes (bus had to be curtailed at Palmers Green because of the Fore Street tunnel being closed Northbound ending up being stuck in traffic for 30+ minutes. Baring in mind it was after midnight when this happened) Walked home

Did the 304 end to end yesterday (around 16:30 departure from manor park)
Shadowed a 474 at the onset all the way till East Ham fire station; and then a 104. Wasn’t very crowded but had 1 passenger transfer from the 474 onto it and a few from 104 at the first chance to the 304
Overall not very crowded but at least ticked off the newest route in London - that’s the 255th route I have done end to end

235: DLE30262 (SK68LTY) - WK - There were roadworks near the bus stop Green Lane which made a section which normally takes 20 seconds into a section that took 10 minutes. This meant that driver changes for WK garage were being done at the stop before Green Lane. H32: SP40047 (YT09BNB) - AV - Just missed the H98 so this was next, along with the 81 and 222. Picked this route simply because it shares the stop with the H91 at Hounslow West. Not much to say about this Scania as I have used the remaining YT09s at AV/WK quite a lot over the past year. H91: VH45194 (LJ16EWT) - V - The H91 was behind my H32 as I got off the bus but sadly overtook the H32 leaving me a 10 minute wait for the next bus. Thankfully this was a VH so made the journey much more enjoyable. 9: LT121 (LT1Z1121) - V - Not much to say about the bus or the ride. Typical slow LT. 38: LT836 (LTZ1836) - CT - First time using Arriva London North. Nothing much to say about the bus as the journey was quite slow. 211: LT130 (LTZ1130) - V - Still has it's AV codes which is something I would not expect to see all the way in Victoria. Driver terminated at Sloane Square to my surprise leaving me to find another bus to continue my journey. 319: EA17 (LG71DKU) - 211 was 30 minutes away so was not waiting for that. Instead took the next 319 to then changeover for the 49 near Chelsea. Did enjoy this ride and had a nice smooth bus. 49: VH45140 (LJ15JZT) - S - How nice to get one of my old regulars on the once RATP route 285. Bus is still excellent and was surprised to see it still isn't refurbished. Unsure where this bus will be allocated after the 49 converts fully to BCE. 237: VW126 (LK12AEU) - AH - Bus was relatively quiet and I did end to end this route all the way to Hounslow Heath. Nothing much to say about the VW. 117: MCM30085 (BV66GXZ) - AV - Excellent bus to finish off my day. No modern day bus can beat a Citaro K!

Did the below on 28th June but only posting now:
Start of the day - 132 to North Greenwich and jubilee to Waterloo to meet a friend for coffee
Then quick hop across the river to get the first bus of the day
172 (aldwych to brockley rise): had just missed a bus (which started 6 min late for some reason!) but was a blessing in disguise as the next bus was 3 min away and in fact managed to overtake the previous one at old Kent road Tesco. Fairly quick journey and was pretty empty as well
P12 (Honor oak park to Surrey quays): S / SE London has a load of single deckers which I find very annoying to do. Anyway the P12 actually has a fair amount of solo sections which I hadn’t appreciated (and will increase further when the 78 is withdrawn). Very twisty route, not sure how the drivers remember all those turns (I lost track!). Had a foul mouthed guy on the bus who kept shouting F*** you to anyone who sat in the seat behind him (shouted at a lady, a lady with a kid, a guy) which made for an unpleasant journey and couldn’t wait for it to be over
Quick hop back on the overground back to Canada Water
Up next was the 225 but this was delayed by 6-7 min because of 2 incidents. - a C10 leaving the bus station and turning left; all of a sudden heard a scream and saw a lady with crutches fall down on the road near the front left wheel of the bus! Not sure how it happened - the driver of the 47 behind also stopped and rushed out to help. 3 women got down from his bus and unfortunately one of them started having a seizure. Luckily she recovered quickly But as a result for almost 10 min nothing could leave the bus station. Mercifully no one was injured
Next: 225 (Canada Water to hither Green). Another quickish journey, thankfully not as convoluted as the P12. Always liked the 225 on paper and it’s fairly quick if no traffic
Quick hop across the rail bridge to the other side of the station. The delay at Canada Water did imply that I missed the 273 so a 15+ min wait.
Then did the 273 to the lambscroft avenue bus stop and walked to the last stop of the 284
284 (grove park cemetery to lewisham): thankfully the last single deck of the day. 40-45 min journey back to lewisham; these routes (181, 284) are so twisty. Skip on ravensbourne park temporarily delayed us. Is the 284 the only route to have cemetery as a terminus?
Hopped into mcd for a burger, coffee and loo break. On these long end to end days one needs to figure out these logistics properly!
89 (lewisham to slade green): the journey I had been waiting for (and finally a good view after a bunch of single decks!). Gloriously sunny weather so amazing drive through Blackheath and shooters hill. This is a pretty long route I must admit (90+ min owing to temp traffic lights near bexleyheath bus garage) but still enjoyed this as it was so warm and sunny and parts of the route have great views
Took the 99 to Erith quarry. Annoyingly had missed a 99 and the next one was running late which meant I reached Erith quarry just as a 180 left but thankfully only a 10 min wait
180 (Erith quarry to North Greenwich): surprisingly quick till woolwich and then slow to NOG. Was the second time i did parts of the route in daylight and was a lovely trip with a quick driver
Took the 132 back home
27th June: - did the 321 from Eltham to foots cray Tesco and back to complete this finally in 3 tranches

Was the second time i did parts of the route in daylight and was a lovely trip with a quick driver The 472 was exactly the same for me - pretty much express from Abbey Wood to Woolwich and then suddenly stopping at every stop to massive crowds. It was still very quick though and Stagecoach have lovely buses.

Electricity cut out at home and with my phone battery on its last legs, I made use of the fact that we have USBs on our buses and just went out.
WS137 (232)- Arcadian Gardens to Mitchell Way (that's the 232 done for me. Only had to do Brent Cross- St Raphaels but glad to get one of my local routes done and dusted. Surprisingly fast for a 71 minute journey)
Walked to Stonebridge Park Station (saw some Metropolitan line replacement buses come out of there. Bit weird considering the Met don't serve Stonebridge Park) Bakerloo line- Stonebridge Park to Queens Park then decided against going into Zone 1 to look for any new buses and took the Overground to Shepherds Bush
Walked over to Hilton Hotel Kensington to catch the 94 BCE47004 (94)- Royal Crescent to John Princes Street/Oxford Circus Went to try and get to the 25 by bus but went to St Paul's via the Central line. Took an age to arrive 11389 (25)- St Paul's Station to Hainault Street
Wanted to do the 58,308,339 and W14 as I've missed them when I tried to do every LI route on Tower Transits last day but had to rush home.
Elizabeth line- Ilford to Stratford Greater Anglia- Stratford to Tottenham Hale Victoria line- Tottenham Hale to Highbury & Islington (Finsbury Park was closed because of Wireless) Decided against waiting for the Great Northern for whatever reason and walked to Holloway Road instead (don't ask me why) Piccadilly line- Holloway Road to Wood Green Went home

<snip> Walked to Stonebridge Park Station (saw some Metropolitan line replacement buses come out of there. Bit weird considering the Met don't serve Stonebridge Park) <snip> Rail replacements quite often head out to a station on an adjacent line rather than slavishly following the rail route. It gives quicker alternative links for outer suburban travellers and reduces the pressure on other stations. Another example is Central Line replacements from West Ruislip heading to Willesden Junction to connect with the Bakerloo Line.

Interestingly, Overground replacement services don't stop at Brixton despite running through east to west

My bus routes on 12th July on a very humid day. Must say using buses today was sheer torture in most cases, not sure how the drivers were managing today. I had plans of doing more but just gave up after a point of time
132 to Eltham station: needed to get here for the first of my end to ends.
161 (Eltham station to chislehurst war memorial): swelteringly hit bus and I was the only one braving it on the top deck. A couple of people tried sitting but soon went downstairs. Luckily it was only ~30-40% of the route but it was just uncomfortable upstairs. But at least after 4 instalments (North Greenwich to woolwich, woolwich to Queen Elizabeth hospital, Hospital to Eltham and now Eltham to chistlehurst) completed it. So all routes at North Greenwich completed!
Quick hop back to the town centre for the next one
61 (chistlehurst to Bromley north): very picturesque route and thankfully the cooling on this was working so had a cool journey! A great route which I would strongly recommend for picturesque routes
269 (Bromley north to bexleyheath shopping centre): another very hot bus although slightly better than the 161. Fairly quick initially (had to wait to regulate service!). Fairly quick nad long route with some interesting bits in between
Hopped into Starbucks for something cold as was boiling
B13 (bexleyheath shopping centre to new Eltham): was in two minds whether to take the B13 or B15. Left the B15 only to find that the B13 didn’t turn up so had another 15 min wait. Nice little round the houses route with some very tight bits in the blackfen area aa well as north of the danson interchange
Couldn’t take it any more, so did 321 and 286 back home

90: VMH2572 (LA68WU) - AH - Nothing much to say about this trip 482: 2018 (YX20OCA) - DH - Really enjoy the section of the route I use. The MMCs are fantastic along the Great South West Road H91: LT132 (LTZ1132) - V - Disappointed when finding out an LT would be my vehicles. I will say though that they cope much better on the bumpy roads near Hammersmith than the VHs. 295: VWH2133 (LK65EBO) - WJ - We were quite close to the 295 behind us so this journey was quite heavy footed to my enjoyment. 7: WHD2708 (LK70AYX) - PV - Did this just because I've never tried a hydrogen DD before. Quite enjoyed the ride on the top deck. Was surprised to see USBs on my seat (the seat before the stairs). 94: BCE47007 (LB69JNV) - S - The rear doors of this bus stopped working at one point which caused a 5 minute delay. Happily after this delay the driver was really flooring it which showed the true performance of an electric DD. I sat in the same seat as I did on the WHD and there were no USBs to be found. 237: VW1214 (LK61BNL) - AH - Another quality VW by Metroline. Nothing much to say about the ride 116: SP40172 (YT10XBV) - WK - Good old Scania to finish the day. Will be sad once the SPs leave WK.

Spent most of my day travelling in southeast London.
460: VWH1364 - Always bump into this batch somehow. Noticed since back on road after 3 weeks off, this one accelerates an lot better as an Gemini 2 hybrid is supposed to; previously would always high rev with slow acceleration. Standard trip otherwise.
Jubilee Line - Took this from Willesden Green to North Greenwich. Nothing to say.
132: WVL300 - As this one is converting to electric buses wanted to the route out for first time. I must say this is one of the best Gemini 2 B9TLs rides I have had and also an very nice route. Very trashy and also devoured some hilly sections closer to Bexleyheath.
401: HV45 - Nice recent Gemini 2 B5LH refurbishment and seemly also recently got an battery pack fix. Quite enjoyed this one and open sections of this ride. Was going for an 301 ride on this one, but got subbed onto 401 instead.
244: SE56 - Good Enviro 200 ride on open road. Not much to say really.
472: 19863 - Disappointed to find out this was an post 2009 Enviro 400 and not an 14 reg Enviro 400H. Got me back to North Greenwich at least.
Jubilee Line - Curtailed to West Hampstead due to late start. Needed to get off there anyway.
328: VWH2027 - Another reliable ride and route by Metroline on an solid refurbished Gemini 3 machine.
460: VWH1413 - AKA the temperamental 62-REG VWH bus. Thankfully this one turned out to be an thrashy ride as too often not an nice bus to ride as once was. An great way to finish the day. Didn't even seek this one. Noticed the black cover at the rear was left open which has happened several times before. (not like this with other buses)
