W11 357 On the face of it two local journeys are likely to be uneventful. However we got a ticket check on the 357 which is not bad for a Sunday morning. Then we got a very loud Eastern European lady (based on the accent) saying "Is next stop closed? Is next stop closed?" for the Bell Corner stop. The lady driver didn't know and I thought it was. Unfortunately I was wrong The driver naturally enough didn't stop but we were caught by the lights. Loud Lady then goes "I ask you, I ask you if stop is open" to the driver. The driver then says it's her first time ever on the route (which I think is true) and says it's her first run this way (again plausible given that run has a crew changeover on the previous jny to Whipps Cross). I then ask if the driver could bend the rules and allow us to alight. She initially says no given Loud Lady is now going "But you are the driver, why you not know, why you not know?" At this point the driver is getting more and more wound up but I somehow managed to calm her down a little bit and she agrees to drop us at the other side of the junction. I thanked her profusely as I know she's not really supposed to do it. What Loud Lady did by way of saying thank you I know not. This all rather begs the question as to why on earth there is not a dolly stop at such a busy set of stops where loads of people interchange to / from the 123 to / from Hoe St / Chingford Rd services. To date TfL have been reasonably diligent at providing dolly stops during the never ending kerb, hump and pavement works which Waltham Forest council is inflicting on the Borough. If any group members can magic a dolly stop into place it will surely prevent other rows and arguments.

205 (12148, LX61DCO): Paddington Station to Bow Church Station .The upper-deck of the bus smelt terribly bad, I nearly felt sick. It also put some people off from coming upstairs. On my first journey on the 4, I went upstairs to my favourite front seat... and was hit by a smell of bitter cheese. I was wondering where the smell was coming from... I looked back... to find a puddle of vomit... So I had to go downstairs. No-one else braved the upper-deck. It ruined a nice ride... what fun is the lower deck? Also, on smells... people who insist on eating fried chicken and smelly food (but it's usually fried chicken) on the bus should promptly be squeezed out of the top deck window. Sorry. It just came out. I just had to say it. Oh today... 263 and 271 to and from the Nag's Head. The 271 had insanely creaky doors, had a change of drivers... and didn't show up on the countdown at the bus stop. A truly exciting journey.

You'll enjoy Brighton & Hove Buses then - food & drink are banned from being consumed on their buses.

I am surprised the bus was still in service we are told if someone has vomited on our buses I-BUS must be informed then that bus must be returned to depot, I am sure that applies to all London operators , maybe the driver didn't know about it

I won't bore you with 10s and 134s, so... 49 from Gloucester Rd - Kensington High St Station - I must've got the same OmniDekka as the one I got on the 94 - it was hissing everywhere. Or maybe all OmniDekkas do that. 328 to Golders Green... a man got on the bus, making weird noises and movements... then asked someone for a lighter. Then he secretly had a little smoke on the bus. When he got the lighter he shouted YOU SAVED MY LIFE... Once the other front seats were free, he sat down at the front, eating twigs and leaves, and periodically shouting about him getting to work and biting the boss... 210 to Highgate - VERY fast brilliant driver. I always give a thumbs up to drivers who respond when I say 'thank you' when I get on. He gave me a wave. The end.
