The 185 is Warner Road stop in Camberwell New Road, I have got stuck a few times behind a 185 changing over there, very annoying when there is a queue of traffic!! |

As far as I was aware all the changeovers take place at stop A4 at Kingston Cromwell, after being moved from Eden Street. I've noticed since Abellio have started running the K3 a changeover point for drivers is at Cromwell Road Bus Station. Drivers would stop at the usual stop but will then drive in the bus station and stop at the disabled access stand. Drivers would change there and then continue the route towards Roehampton Vale. Slightly frustrating as it can add almost 5 mins to the journey. 5 minuets may not seem a lot but could cause you to miss a train at Norbiton station as an example. Previously there was no change over when being run by LU. At one point towards Esher it was Eden Street, it is now Tiffin School / London Road. |

244s change over at Thamesmead during the day. Changeovers take place at BV late evening and I believe all day Sunday. 132 has driver changeovers at terminus (Bexleyheath) from my observations Plumstead routes that pass the garage (PD) have their driver changeovers outside the garage (I don't think I've ever been on a bus that has had a driver changeover which hasn't been travelling in the eastbound direction). This would be routes 96, 99, 177, 469, 472 of the top of my head, Whereas route 53 and 122 have changeovers at terminus. I've seen Arriva DT do changeovers at Bexleyheath (B12, B13, B15) and Dartford Station (428, 492) I'm not so sure about the 244. I would imagine they change at Abbey Wood station (terminus) but judging from the amount of dead 244s I see running to and fro BV during the day I wouldn't be to suprised if there were duties that end at the garage. |

It certainly annoyed me  I don't know where to start - you could get two or three buses parked up there, parked cars forcing us to serve the stop for passengers, and it was quite a sight when a route 3 pulls up at the stop and changes drivers and then all the passengers would jump off and run for the 59/133/159. Seeing the driver's reaction always made me laugh As far as I know for the P13, all their changeovers are done at Streatham |

I believe the 270 actually change drivers at Merton garage as I see them often running light along Western Road (although the blinds are set to 'Not in service' their running numbers are a giveaway). It was also the same with the 355 before it moved to Q. Also, from late evenings I believe all AL's routes are still in theory crew changed inside the depot via light runnings, barring of course the 200 and 219. The 270 was mainly Garratt Lane changeovers to my last knowledge. I'd be surprised if that has been changed as it would add a lot of cost to the contract, need additional bus(es) and affect reliability. The 355, from Merton, did change on the road Upper Tooting Road towards Mitcham and Mitcham Road towards Brixton. That is not to say there are/were no light runs as described above. By union agreement there are no changeovers at Tooting after 19.00, so in the evening all Tooting changever routes run in and out of the garage. This used to be the case at Morden as well but Merton garage was getting too crowded in the evenings - the 118 generally started to change drivers at Morden all evening, not sure if this has since been extended to 163/164/201. In fact there will be agreements that mean a lot of the above specified points are not used in the evening... To my last knowledge this applies to routes 1, 22, 44, 63, 77, 87, 93, 155, 170, 225, 270, 280, 315, 337, 360, 363. There may be more. In addition I've noticed a route I forgot - the P5 changes at Vassall Road towards E&C and Camberwell New Road/Vassall Road towards Nine Elms. In and out of the garage in the evenings. To another response, if the 185 has moved to Camberwell New Road I'm not surprised as it is nearer the garage than Denmark Hill - I know this spot was originally refused by TfL but to be honest, southbound at least, it is a better spot than Denmark Hill anyway. |
