156 - Queenstown Road/Silverthorne Road I believe they are actually done at Vauxhall Bus Station, despite passing outside QB. On a few occasions I have seen drivers change whist the bus is parked on the Bondway stand. Mine must have been a one off then! Thanks for that

Has anyone been on a bus that stops at Camberwell Green to change drivers? As soon as the Engine goes off, everyone tuts/kisses there teeth. It's so funny!! Tbh I think the expectation from passengers is too high. I seriously wonder if people think Bus drivers are not human. Some no longer say morning neither do they talk to drivers like they are actually human... The drivers need to have a break sometimes. When people complain about driver changeovers I find it highly annoying. I feel like telling them "Well the drivers do need to take a break sometimes "Then I"ll get nonsense like "Well they should do it at the end of the route". "Well the garage they operate this route from is right there!!!! Why should a 35 driver go to Clapham Junction to takeover when the Depot is in Camberwell" Passengers of the 54 & 136 always moan yet they know the garage is right in front of them lol so expect changeovers! I remember at one point only 5 Routes used to change drivers at Camberwell Green which were the 12, 35, 40 & 45, 176. Now we have 9, the 12, 35, 40, 45, 68, 176, 185, 345, 468 all change driver Camberwell. The 484 all this time has taken stand time in a garage. I just wonder where would the 484 stand if Stagecoach ever won it. Tbh I think it is one of those routes where London Central & Abellio could only run it.

Haha that happened to me on the 171 at New Cross one time. As soon as the announcement was made, you could just hear a wave of people kissing their teeth from the front to the back of the bus Too funny.

Well wouldn't it just u-turn on Camberwell Road and just park there? I've seen this happen a few times whilst under Abellio. And then that way, like with other SD routes from TL, they would changeover at Lewisham.

But I've also seen a u-turn on Camberwell Road happen before.

I'm glad I am not the only one who's witnessed this. It is frustrating when you are late or want to get somewhere quickly, but yes fair enough on some bus drivers need a break. But do you know how rude some of the 12, 68 and 468 drivers are these days? The 12 bus is the worst for attitude problems; the nicest drivers have to be the 148. They never give you attitude.

Bearing in mind that two thirds of the passengers on average will not have contact with the 148 drivers now that they use the middle or rear doors.

If the 484 was to be run by anyone other than Abellio or LC they would either; 1. Have a turn around agreement with either LC or Abellio to use thier garage. or 2: turn around via Camberwell Road, Wyndham Road and Camberwell new Road. standing in Camberwell Road be Medlar St or tfl put a stand in Wyndham Rd.

In addition passengers who use bus routes regular should at least know where the drivers change over and should be ready at least and not moan, kiss teeth or make up noise, instead they should be knowing what to expect. I fear your wish for passengers to understand the ins and outs of bus operation will go unheeded. People not unreasonably expect their journey to be as quick as possible and uneventful. They may well be in a hurry for some reason or just impatient. I agree it's all a bit much with the symphony of noise but I suspect we all do it (grumble under out breath, kiss teeth, whatever) if we're in a hurry or even just a bit fed up and want to get home. I was certainly grumling about the W11 today - Arriva's new regulation strategy is to have buses stand in the bus station for 15 minutes and leave late with the blinds set to not in service but still showing as "in service" on Countdown. The next bus then has to pick up 30 minutes worth of passengers with people stuffed up against the windscreen. I saw this happen twice in a near 30 minute window during which I had to wait 25 minutes. Utterly useless. I can only assume the controller was suffering some sort of psychotic episode.

Route 47: Lewisham, Jerrard Street This seems to have become the new changeover point for some reason. This has been happening since the closure of the old Lewisham bus station

Route 47: Lewisham, Jerrard Street This seems to have become the new changeover point for some reason. I've heard its due to driving hours, changeovers still do happen at the garage as well IIRC
