I've just done the 182. It's a very weird route it's start from Scenic area, goes though urban areas and ends ups at a shopping centre.

Time for a little catching up, so over the last month, I cleared the 32, 96 (nice route apart from running through Bexleyheath, sorry), 126, 128, 150, 160, 180 (which terminates in one of the most remote and boring areas in London), 251, 298 (Saturday route, have to clear it again), 323, 340 and 428 (using an E200 which seems rather worse for wear)

What's wrong with Bexleyheath? I like the area, but not the tons of chavs I always see down there. Its more or less like that further South and East of Lewisham/Blackheath/Greenwich (like Eltham, Welling, Charlton, Woolwich. Those kind of areas). Especially Eltham!

What's wrong with Bexleyheath? I like the area, but not the tons of chavs I always see down there. Right on the money. I don't like some of the youth in that area, but the area itself is not bad at all. Indeed, I am a fan of BX garage, and the same with Plumstead (which is frankly one of the least pleasant places I've been to in London)

Well. When pulling away, it doesn't drop speed, unlike the rest of the fleet, that in 2nd lose the acceleration. secondly it's the only one that isn't limited to 50, so is faster!

Did the full route of 112 and part-routes of 148, 230, 232 and W4. Why weren't 9.3m E200s ordered for the W4 instead? The current buses are not adequate for such a busy route like that and some of the roads it passes through are incredibly tight. You've answered your own question - the side turns on parts of the route are very tight meaning long buses aren't practical. The W4 is horrendously overloaded because it serves such densely populated areas which are just a little too far away from other routes which have double decks on them. Stand on Wood Green High Road for a shortish time and you'll soon see World War 3, 4, 5 and 6 all breaking out about how many buggies / people / shopping you can squash inside a short E200. Imagine what it was like when it was half hourly on Sundays - no way was anyone backing down about getting on the bus. Thankfully TfL sorted that issue out by doubling the frequency. The W4 needs more buses on it to try to ease the overcrowding plus fix the bunching. You often see buses running together at all times of the day and night.
