Did the full routes of G1 and P13 and also part-routes of 156 and 344 today. G1 is an interesting route - It goes to two hospitals, goes through a hospital car park and terminates at a dead-end. The driver of the bus was really friendly and all the G1 drivers were smiling and waving at each other. P13 goes up quite a lot of hills. Was the G1 a long route? How long did it take?

It's long, takes roughly over an hour. The day I did it, it wasn't over busy and we avoided most traffic spots but I've rode it Clapham Junction to Streatham in the past during the peaks and it's get rammed so I presume it would take even longer during the peaks.

For me it took roughly about an hour and 15 minutes. But as Vjaska said, G1 is a long route and it goes through so many back roads and corners.

Did the full route of 314 earlier. How did you find it? I always enjoyed driving the 314 because I like driving long routes. Unfortunately I don't get much opportunity to drive it now

Unfortunately I don't get much opportunity to drive it now I've done it end to end on both a Pointer & an ALX200 - the 40mph section from Addington to Wickham is nice with the right driver. I also like the section from William Barefoot Drive to Sundridge Park too.

Did the full route of R10 earlier. What a long but interesting route! The places the route serves are quite quiet but the scenery is lovely. The roads are really narrow and several cars had to reverse just to make way for the bus to pass so I can see why it can only use 8.8m buses. I thought the route would take hours but it was actually quick and I do admire the drivers who drive R5/R10 for remembering all the roads it passes on. If I was a driver of that route, I don't think I'll be able to remember where to go once I've passed Green Street Green. On the basis that I can't remember someone coming around for the full journey when I did the R10 earlier today it wasn't me driving! As to remembering the route, I find it very easy. The R10 goes straight up Cudham Lane and makes a fairly sharp left hand turn to go through Knockholt and Knockholt Pound (two different places apparently!) before disappearing off up to Halstead and back and then down Rushmore Hill. There aren't really that many turns to remember I really enjoy driving the R5/R10 routes. The people are very friendly, the scenery is outstanding and it's just a very pleasant way to spend one's day at work. Yes, it can be awkward on Cudham Lane when you meet something bigger than a Transit van but by being professional you can sort things out. I've met HGVs, skip lorries, bin lorries and a coach during my time on the R routes and on each occasion managed to pass without a great deal of fuss and without damaging anything either (well, apart from one time....)

I took the 12:03 pm journey of R10 Definitely wasn't me then - I was still driving my 261 at that time!

Was even more fun when Metrobus used the 03 reg MPD's - the drivers were great in driving in & out of gaps along the country lanes.

Yesterday, I did the 116, 203, 281 & H91 end to end. The 281 is long which was no surprise to me judging by maps, the other 3 routes were quite nice and had fast sections along them. The 116 is quite short - took around 20 minutes end to end.
Does me doing the 265 from Wandsworth to Tolworth count as end to end lol?
