Took the 262 end-to-end from East Beckton to Stratford. I love WHs Tridents. They're in such a great condition. But they seem a little restricted (I noticed that when I did the 473 end-to-end the other day). I have to say...Beckton is more or less like Thamesmead, Abbey Wood, Belvedere areas. Pretty much the same as across the river. Long motorwsy-like roads...random retail parks in the middle of nowhere...just generally deserted. Kinda random how the 262 passes Beckton DLR Depot. There's not even anything around the bus stop. No entrance, no nothing. It's just weird. Yesterday, I did the 116, 203, 281 & H91 end to end. The 281 is long which was no surprise to me judging by maps, the other 3 routes were quite nice and had fast sections along them. The 116 is quite short - took around 20 minutes end to end. Does me doing the 265 from Wandsworth to Tolworth count as end to end lol? Oh wow, you must have had a lot of time to do all those routes. I remember when I did the 282 from Kingston to Twickenham one time...felt like it took forever! And that's not even the whole route! And erm...the 265 runs from Tolworth to Wandsworth anyway, so yeah. You did it end-to-end.

Who really cares about the short bit to Putney Bridge?!

I think the ride is more enjoyable with a Scania than Trident. But I'm probably saying that because I am far too used to Tridents on the route

The entrance to Beckton DLR depot is just by the roundabout, there's a security hut and a level crossing (which allows trains to go from the old side to the depot to the new depot.) It is a bit desolate there and not the best place to wait for a bus at any time of the day, but much better than walking down to Amarda Point or round to the Retail Park when you've just parked your train in the depot and want to go home

Did the full route of N1 earlier. I'm obsessed with that route.... You don't say? I'm too scared to do the N1 end-to-end. Thamesmead is an area I wouldn't really want to be in late at night. Although I like the nice long roads after Greenwich. It makes a nice bus ride. I remember being on the N1 from TCR to Plumstead, and the driver really didn't waste time Great...now I'm tempted to do the route end-to-end...

I actually did the last journey from Tottenham Court Road which was 05:35 and the bus got to Titmuss Avenue at 06:52 and the bus was quite slow around the Holborn, Waterloo and Elephant areas but once we got to places like Charlton, Woolwich and Plumstead, the driver was really fast considering that there weren't a lot of people waiting for N1. But yeah, I wouldn't like to be in Thamesmead late at night either especially Crossway as it doesn't look like a pleasant place to be in. Its just a shame that such a dodgy area has nice long roads for fast rides... Which bus type did you get btw?

Crossway is OK : certainly no better or worse than much of London. I feel perfectly safe in Thamesmead.

Hmm...how was it? I might do the route end-to-end when I go back to Kingston.

If I do the 432 from Crystal Palace to Brixton, then the 2 to Marylebone does that count as having done the 2 end-to-end?

If I do the 432 from Crystal Palace to Brixton, then the 2 to Marylebone does that count as having done the 2 end-to-end? Not under my rules lol - but it's up to you of course. Personally, I have to do the route separately from other routes for it to count as end to end - so me, I'd do the 432 to Brixton, a 2 or 196 to Norwood Garage and then the 2 to Marylebone Station.

Hmm..I'm in Brixton right now, but I don't want to get caught in traffic coming back through Brixton from Norwood. If I get a loud VLA (which I most likely will) then I guess it wouldn't be too bad.
