I've been past the site many times although I've never thought about access in and out although I wouldn't think it too much of a problem as large lorries are in and out of there and there is plenty of noise and air polllution from the A102 as it is and it is really an industrial sort of area. To be honest, I'm hoping air pollution will not be a problem, espically with buses become cleaner and greener by the minute. But only time will tell if Westcombe Park Bus Garage will move from fantasy to reality.

Ok , well this site is officially up for sale ( lease ) . Its contaminated land so can only be used for industrial use. Not sure whether that precludes a bus garage. Rumour amongst staff , is the Met Police are now trying to renegotiate because their alternative site in Belvedere has fallen through. Huge cost savings though may mean the met police will still vacate. So , its possible , but that's all I can find out.

I can really only see Abellio buying it, seeing as TT and CT are north River Operators, and Stagecoach and Arriva still have some decent space Hopefully Abellio London buys it seeming they're expanding quickly especially with the tender wins last year. I doubt TT, CT and Arriva will even consider buying it as they're fine as they are, Stagecoach London is another operator who could buy this considering the number of routes they run in the area. Personally I hope Abellio London is the one actually buying it as it would allow them to win even more routes in the South London area such as 161, 108? and 180 just to name a few considering if they continue to gain from the tender like last year.

Travelling along Westcombe Hill this morning, I noticed a double decker and some coaches parked at the northwestern edge of this site. The double decker was red with white upper deck window surrounds, looked like a Northern Counties bodied Olympian.
I do occasionally see the odd accident victim on the pound but these did not appear to fall into that category: any idea what these vehicles are doing there?

Uninsured / vehicle used for criminal purposes / impounded to collect evidence? It's still a police pound so anything that the police would seize the vehicle for.

NC bodied Olympian in red / white in SE London suggests the possibility of Abbey Travel of Erith who had a few of this batch third hand from Sullivan's (photo of NV 118 - not mine - at www.flickr.com/photos/wanderer30/8474859742)
Info in public domain online suggests NV 118 was last taxed in 2016, and NV 106 on SORN, so not necessarily anything to do with Abbey Travel any more. Nothing to suggest that Abbey are in the process of moving their base.
