I'd just create a N114 and let it run from Mill Hill Broadway to Uxbridge or even Uxbridge—>Ruislip(following route U1) then Ruislip to Mill Hill Broadway(following normal 114 route) then extension to Edgware via Hale Lane(following routes 240/221) I'd thought about this extensively whilst procrastinating on a task recently. If a N114 was to go to Uxbridge, it'd probably be best to send it down via Long Lane & parallel the N207 there to cover Hillingdon and Ickenham better. Also helps that it's also Tube stations so can be advertised to punters particularly coming from central London on the N207. There's also an extra service for Brunel students at night, albeit with an unglamorous walk down Kingston Lane. There is a strong argument for conjoined orbital routes, which typically serve multiple town centres, having all night services. Routes like the 221, 123, 51, P4, 75. There's likely three more routes max needed for a good nighttime coverage but those stated are the least controversial. The 221 isn't, and if was made 24/7, that would see Edgware having four night routes. The N114 in the form of Mill Hill- Uxbridge would work fine; I've talked about the 24 hour Thameslink service ad infinitum so no need to talk about drumming up customers there.

N277 to be rerouted between Hackney Central and Dalston via the 30 instead to serve Mare Street and Hackney Downs and then extend from Angel to Marble Arch via the 30

N11: extended from Ealing Broadway to Greenford Station via route E1 to Greenford Broadway and 105 to Greenford Station. To compensate for the loss of the Weekend night service for the E1 and link Greenford and North Greenford with the West End and the night tube.

Sorry I don't agree, the N11 already serves West Ealing, so it would be double backing on itself. Plus it's not the most direct route. Instead I would reroute the 94 at night between Shepherds Bush and Acton Green, and extend to Ealing Broadway, then your proposed N11 extension. This could even be extended to Trafalgar square if there is stand space

Am I alone in thinking the reintroduction of these services would be more (or as) beneficial from a voters point of view in the mayoral election next year ?
Khan could bill that around getting people home safely. Something which we all should agree is a priority.
I also wonder whether with Thursday being the new Friday , that enhanced frequencies may be desirable on some nights routes on Thursday night / Fri morning.

Might be beneficial for the votes but does TfL have the money? Did these services cover their running costs? I imagine some probably lost money? Not a fan of Uber at all but think it has a places for things like late nights out.

You have to remember that night trips usually follow an earlier trip in the opposite journey so the revenue gain overall is worthwhile.

Was thinking more of routes like the N145 which only managed to carry a few hundred passengers per night. Surely that can’t have been viable?

Maybe not that route, but the 34N, 123N and 158N all consistently carried above average figures proving their viability. Should we completely ignore the handful of routes performing well and condemn all 17 weekend night bus routes because one isn't hitting targets?

I'm not too sure if it's been revised since the cost of living crisis, but it has been reported that 17 passengers per journey is the minimum patronage needed to break even. I say average as bus routes don't get the immediate chop if it doesn't hit 17 on every trip. A route like the 492 for example is very quiet during the late evenings but brimming during the peaks and weekends. Because it's relatively cheap to put on night journeys and some routes were profitable, it's worth considering a few weekend night routes for 24/7 operation. From memory the 123N averaged roughly 23 pax per journey.

That is only £29.75 ... does that really cover the costs?
