From my observations, drivers are pretty good at announcing 'next bus stop closed' announcements and that's not just in my local area either. You could have someone scream "THE NEXT BUS STOP IS CLOSED" it wouldn't make a difference to some people they would still ring the bell and try and get off

Sadly, sometimes you just can't win. I did by the book, and yet still get a mouth full of abuse. If I was to get out of the cab a smack someone in the mouth=bye bye job!

Oh yes no mistaking that some drivers are their own worst enemies. I'm of the opinion (which I'm sure I've shard on here many times before!) that drivers fall into 2 categories: 1/. The Professionals - Those that give a d*mn about the job, drive to a standard you'd expect from a professional driver and do their best to help the passengers. 2/. The Steering Wheel Attendants - Those that couldn't give a sh*t about the job and are only in it for the pay packet. Unfortunately this category out numbers those in the first. Not sure i agree with that entirely... I've been doing the job for 11 years now and in all honesty I'm kind of a 1.5 I started off as a 1 but I'm moving towards a 2 purely based on how the public treat me... But my driving is something I take pride in, Customer service not so much!!! I was actually annoyed with myself for rubbing a kerb the other day, admittedly it was turning left from Penge high street into Croydon road on a 358 which at busy times with traffic all around is a f**king tight turn in a 40' bus but I have never clipped it before and was annoyed that I did then!!! (I only rubbed the tyre on the kerb, didn't damage the bus)

(I only rubbed the tyre on the kerb, didn't damage the bus) That turn at Penge ia a pain in the a*se no matter what kind of time it is, yesterday evening i had one of your 126 Enviros on the 358, was so much easier to make that turn, ok its only about 1.2m shorter but does make the difference, but still took it from the outside lane. Have more fun times on the 358 today

Have to say I sat behind a number of 358s as they made that turn and always thought it looked like a bugger of a turn. On the odd occasion I made the reverse turn in one of the old SPDs it was tight enough!

It's not so bad if there's no traffic queuing on Croydon Road at the light where you can swing the front end wider.... Also the Scania near side mirrors ain't the greatest...
