I would like to know what are peoples favourite bus types/models. If possible make a list of as many as you can. I'm mainly looking for double deckers, though you can include single deckers as well- just don't mix SDs and DDs in one list. Here's mine, and I expect they will cause an outcry:
1)Scania Omnicity (DD) 2)New Routemaster 3)ADL E400 Hybrid 4)ADL E400 Diesel 5)ALX400/Trident 2 6)Plaxton President/Trident 2

I voted other because I like Wright Pulsar Gemini / DAF DB250LF. I also ALX40 / Trident, ALX400 / Volvo B7TL, ALX400 / DAF DB250LF, President / Trident and Wright Eclipse Gemini / Volvo B7TL. By the way your poll is missing some options like: - Wright Pulsar Gemini / DAF DB250LF
- Alexander ALX400 / DAF DB250LF
- Plaxton President / DAF DB250LF
- Wright Gemini 2 / VDL DB300
- Optare Olympus / Scania N230UD
- Optare Olympus / Alexander Dennis Enviro400

Oh yeah, I forgot about the DAF DB250LF. If I'm honest, I've never heard of the VDL DB300. Regarding the Olympus, I don't think it's very popular so I didn't bother. Also, isn't the original Eclipse Gemini the same as the Pulsar Gemini? On Wikipedia, it's got the same pictures for both of them. And you don't seem like a huge fan of newer buses.

You missed off Mercedes Citaro G [1]. It is a very nice model. [1] and an absolute load of older buses [2] that us decrepit older enthusiasts are rather fond of and form our early memories of buses. [2] as displayed on various shelves in my living room and visible as I type this.

The Pulsar Geminis and the Eclipse Geminis may look the same but they ain't the same. Wright Eclipse Gemini is built on the Volvo B7TL chassis and the Wright Pulsar Gemini is built for VDL/DAF DB250 chassis. No I'm not a fan of the newer buses. The Old buses had character and the newer ones don't. The old buses had a great capacity and the new ones don't. Arriva London's DW201+ and London General WDL1 are Gemini 2 integrals or Gemini 2's built with DB300 Chasis. Integral with chassis modules built by VDL - officially known as VDL DB300.

You have to admit that newer buses look pretty cool and futuristic Futuristically ugly. Boo... As for the choices on this poll... it's either a Wright Eclipse Gemini I, a Scania OmniCity (apart from the back...), a 'DLA' or a hybrid E400 (PROVIDED there are TWO tree deflectors! : I'll be blasphemous and say that I do really like the body of the New Routemaster as well. Apart from the grille at the back. Looks kind of out of place...

Despite my username (which I actually want to change to a non-bus identity) my favourite step entrance model is the Metrobus, the low floor favourite being the ALX400 Trident.

Now I'm going to be posting this depending entirely on my mood right now. Obviously my beloved E40D is my absolute favourite, but I also am a fan of at the moment of DB250/ALX400, B7TL/ALX400, DB250/Gemini 1 Plaxton President (Trident and B7TL), Gemini 2 B9TL and the New Bus For London (I keep saying that although TfL and Wrightbus call it as such, it is NOT a 'new Routemaster')
I am however not in the mood for N230/Olympus or B5LH/Gemini 3. Of course once I'm more emotionally stable (and when the 159 had been banished of BoJo's toy buses- good but I don't one being used on the 159 or any other BN routes- send them to the Shires in exchange for the 'DWs' there. Pleeeeasssseee!!!)
Emotional turbulence over
I am considering changing my name to something more 'bussy' but I can't think of what I want to change it too.

What about SDs? Personally, I can't say because in my area, there the following SDs (roughly): 120 E200's 20 Optare Solo's 2 Marshall Capital's Some Plaxton Pointers- right at the edge of my area of travel so don't really know how many.
Of those, the Capital is horrible and the Solo isn't great either.
PS:Who can guess what area this is? It shouldn't be too hard because of the numbers.

It's okay for you, you don't see BN routes everyday lol - if the 159 does indeed go NBfL, as I fear it will, then I'm going to have to look at that monstrosity rolling through Brixton everyday.

You have to admit that newer buses look pretty cool and futuristic Futuristically ugly. Why do so many people think modern stuff looks ugly? In most cases they look better than the old stuff.
