This is one of those ideas that needs to happen ASAP. The link from the East down to seven sisters station will be improved. Soon I will no longer need to get the 123 to Tottenham Police Station and then cross the road and get a 149/243/etc. to get a 76.
I do have a suggestion that the Northbound 341 serves Town Hall Approach and High Road so that the 76 and 341 have a better link at night. However I think this is unlike to happen as i presume that TfL and Harringey Council do not want buses along Town Hall Approach.

I've completed the consultation. I also added that I think the 349 should terminate at Tottenham hale to also improve links of Edmonton there

This probably explains the delay in opening the station.

This probably explains the delay in opening the station. The bus station hasn't opened because it isn't ready. The paving works between the bus stops and the station entrances is simply not ready. They were still pouring concrete last week and then they have fancy paving blocks to lay out. That had just started doing that last week. The consultation doesn't give a start date for the 76 which is noteworthy as TfL usually give an indicative start date for a change. I wouldn't be surprised to see the bus station open before the 76 is extended but we'll see. The 76 running to T Hale has been trialled albeit not in service. During recent works on the gyratory the 76 stood down at T Hale with the 41 as the Town Hall approach was closed for roadworks. Therefore a schedule has been tested by TfL and Arriva which has probably helped them understand how many extra buses are needed and if the route would be delayed due to traffic on the gyratory.

Is there any need for both the N76 and 341 to Northumberland Park?

The N76 will be withdrawn and the new 24 hour 76 will run between tottenham hale and waterloo so the 341 will remain as the 24 hour route to Northumberland Park. This is a great proposal and provides easier, efficient interchange from tottenham hale rather than going to the town hall and interchanging which is usually quite busy. Glad to see that bigbaddom's suggestion is on the verge of success maybe tfl saw this forum. Guess our views do have significance nice to know that.

Am I right in guessing there is not a huge demand from the current N76 between Northumberland Park - Tottenham

I suspect TfL people read every relevant forum going. However it is stretching credulity to imagine they pay any attention to what is said about route ideas. They'll be looking for anything that is unduly critical of TfL or which might be construed as a leak or a "cock up" by someone in TfL. I hate to say it, and this is not criticising anyone on here, but extending the 76 to T Hale is a pretty obvious thing to do and I expect it's cropped up from previous public consultations and from Haringey Council. It's also relatively cheap to do and fits in with the wider development proposals for T Hale so there is a "good news story" to be spun off the back of the route being extended. I could probably draft the press release! I mignt put out the bunting if TfL actually do something to ease the congestion and overloading on the 192 up to IKEA.

I have to say me saying they used my idea was tongue in cheek! I'd be very surprised if they used forums such as this to change routes! I only suggested it as it was an obvious change considering the Tottenham Town Hall approach has been modified and from what I can see the stop Tottenham Town Hall has been replaced with College of North East London!

Always thought it was odd you could travel T Hale to S Tottenham at night (The N73) but not during the day. A good link worth having during the day
