While browsing for something else I fell across a new bit of information released by TfL. It shows the real time journey performance for a few of the NB4L operated routes in a recent week. It shows the time each bus passes certain stops on each trip by direction.

Each day for each route is a separate csv file which can be loaded into Excel. There is no comparison against the schedule so it's impossible to tell whether buses are early, late or on time but I imagine that's commercially confidential.
Routes 8, 10 and 38 are not included even though they were converted by the start date for the release of this data.
