I did like the Titans than ran out of NS in Corporate Stagecoach livery around 1997.

Armchair did an Arriva-style orange 'cow-horn' on London red on all their Euro3 Darts on the E2 / E8 / 117 when they were new to Brentford in 2002 www.bus-and-coach-photos.com/picture/number567.aspThamesway's ECW Bristol VRs on the 351 in Romford if I recall were purple script on yellow, and Eastern National were green text on yellow

Thorpes was a bit of an assault on the senses, especially those yellow darts. Having said that, you could always spot a 210 from miles away!
For the record, I'm one of those boring farts who thinks that the TFL all over red is a good thing that gives a uniform look to prevent confusion. The fact buses used to be plastered with all these "London Transport Service" stickers said it all really.

Harris Buses must win the prize for most colourful Surely they win the award for one of the worst London operators there was?

I always thought that branding added a bit more to liveries. Always liked the Freeflow Heathrow ones, A10 Heathrow Fast - Yellow & Blue (L/DMP) 555 Heathrow Connection - Red & Turquoise (DRL) probably my favourite of all the Heathrow branding 285 Local Link - Yellow & Brown (D, step darts) 140 Connection 490 Local Link - these turned a few heads when the DMLs were transfered onto the U3 105 local link 74/75/75 Slough Airport Link - Yellow, Green & Mushroom (D step darts)
Other branding I liked was the 607 Express branding, although I always thought it looked better on the Nationals than the Lynx's and the Red & Yellow 128 Hillingdon Local Service, again thought it suited the Nationals rather than the Lynx's.
Living in Uxbridge meant I got to see a variety of Liveries, varying from LBL's tape grey livery to Green line's but the ones to stand out more were Beeline's Yellow, Blue & Orange and The Shires Blue, Yellow & Mushroom.

Cityrama's blue livery on the 196 and 200. Liked the buses a lot more than the colour.

I liked Mitcham Belle's clean white, red and blue. I quite liked the London Links / London & Country livery too. The London United blue on the T-KAG Pointers is one of my favourite of all time.
I wasn't keen on the Kentish Bus cream - something of a colour clash.

I liked the variety of liveries but then I grew up with a mix of colours even with the NBC being in place. I liked Capital Citybus's livery because I was used to yellow buses in Newcastle. Seeing a yellow bus in Newcastle was a sign I was home and then Stagecoach scrapped the livery. The Capital Citybus livery always stood out, even more so on the Volvo B6/ Alexander Dash's used on the 236 although my favorite version was the red skirt/ black bumper version on the Northern Counties bodied 681 and 682. On the other hand, I hated the 80% red version

That's the ones, I'm sure they had a Northern Counties-bodied Dart in a similar livery as well

One of the other liveries of the time (and one of the best) was the Silver/Red Optare Deltas operating out of AP on the 129 and 148 (later BK on the 150, 169, 145 and 369)
