I like the idea but I'd probably make it a bit more express around Stanmore and reroute via Cuckoo Hill rather than Northwood Hills I'd also extend the X140 to Harrow Weald Bus Garage stopping only at Wealdstone which provides a Harrow Weald link to Heathrow, extend the 278 to somewhere in Eastcote, make your route completely non stop between Heathrow and Ruislip (going via A10, Lees Road, 278 to West Ruislip, U10 to Ruislip). This is because airport links already exist and going via Hillingdon instead of Uxbridge is quicker. Then I'd go via your route but probably only as far as Oakwood, since anyone travelling beyond there could use the Piccadilly line. I do think North London should get some more trunk routes, maybe extending the 340 to Barnet, maybe a Chingford to Barnet link would be realistically possible (possibly an extension of the 307)

God, I haven’t been here in a while.
Anyway, with Barking Riverside Station opening next year (hopefully), I thought it would be about time to propose some new route ideas.
EL4: Barking Riverside - Becontree - Romford
Yes, I still believe the EL4 has potential. The route could go as follows:
Barking Riverside Station Northgate Road Choats Road Renwick Road Castle Green Station (Not yet constructed, however, has been planned as an inbetween station between Barking and Barking Riverside) Ripple Road (The junction will need to be completely altered, so expect a long slew of delays on the A13) Maplestead Road/Goresbrook Road (This section needs a route. Schools especially need it, plus TfL are already considering the 287 coming down the road). Gale Street Becontree Station Martins Corner Wood Lane with the 5? Or perhaps Green Lane with the 128? Rush Green Road (Pretty much the 128 to Romford). Queen’s Hospital The Brewery (How does only the 128, 193 and 496 serve this?) Romford Station
That’s one down, and another to go.
365 Re-Routing:
Ok, this could happen. Perhaps once the 287 gets more services, the 365 could be re-routed northbound through Orchard Village. What’s the other options? Extending the 175? 364?

It may a fantasy thread but driver's hours regulations do exist.
Long routes are no longer possible. Limiting stops does not create an express route.

Your 110 is even worse than the existing route, I think it wouldn't be able to cope reliably with the traffic hotspots. I also think that there's too much fiddling with the Kingston - Richmond corridor. I think adding the 71 to that area overbusses the corridor. The 23 isn't the best of routes at the moment, but something else should be done to it like reverse the changes and reintroduce the 10. Paddington to Kingston is far too long of a route, even in a Fantasy thread. The 419 is a suitable replacement to the current 110 when Hammersmith Bridge opens but I think the 110 should then become the old 391

152: Extend beyond Pollards Hill to Thornton Heath Pond or Clock Tower with conversion to DDs. Route becomes New Malden to Thornton Heath with pvr and scheduling adjusted accordingly
219: Extend beyond Clapham Junction to Battersea Power Station with conversion to DDs, pvr and scheduling adjusted accordingly.
270: Withdrawn between Wandsworth and Putney Bridge and reroute at Wandsworth to Clapham Junction. On the Mitcham end reroute at Three King's Pond to extend via Commonside East, Manor Way and Wide Way to Pollards Hill. Route becomes Pollards Hill to Clapham Junction with pvr and scheduling adjusted accordingly. (this proposal being in conjunction with those of the 152 and 219)
414: Withdrawn between South Kensington and Marble Arch/Madia Hill. Extend beyond Putney Bridge to Tooting: Mitre. Route becomes Tooting: Mitre to South Kensington with pvr and scheduling adjusted accordingly.

If it's via St John's Hill then it could overbus that corridor, with 6 routes at the moment. I think there's enough routes from Wandsworth to Clapham Junction, no need for another. I'd keep the 270 as it is on the Putney Bridge end (removing the 270 from there removes the direct link to Putney Bridge station on Garratt Lane with the 220 and your proposed 414 not stopping directly at the station). Not sure about an extension to Pollards Hill, could work, though I'm not familiar with that area. The 414 you proposed could have some potential but via Wandsworth Bridge instead, starting at South Kensington as you proposed, on its LOR to Fulham Broadway, 306 to Sands End, Wandsworth Bridge, 44 to Tooting Mitre or possibly somewhere else in Tooting.

I was thinking more on the round the corner link between Clapham Junction and the section of Garrat Lane between Earlsfield and Wandsworth, which presently has no direct service. However i suppose the 270 could suffice in ending at Wandsworth: East Hill so that more direct 'same stop' transfers are possible at Wandsworth. It's extension to Pollards Hill would provide punters with a direct bus link to Tooting and relatively close to Saint George's Hospital from Garratt Lane...also taking a bit of pressure from the 152 which is the only route between Mitcham and Pollards Hill (although the 118 almost does the same). The 414 would effectively take over the 220 overlapp that the 270 presently does.

I always thought if another route were to take on the Wandsworth to Summerstown section the 45 would seem a better idea extended from Clapham Park through Clapham South, down the G1 & then up via the 44 to Wandsworth. But nonetheless a great idea.

Would the 219 go via the 156 or 344 routing?

The 156 and 344 are both sufficient, plus interchange is fairly easy from the 77/87 to the 137/452, both of which stop a stones throw from BPS. I think it would be far more valuable to reroute the 219 via Wimbledon Stadium to provide additional links to tube and rail links for Plough Lane visitors. 270: Really doesn’t need to be another link to Clapham Junction up West Hill, way overbussed as it is. 414: There isn’t a suitable turnaround at the Mitre, you’d probably have to go to Tooting Station. Could suffer reliability issues and if it remains, better as a short hopper route to aid reliability on the 14.
