I made the following request to TfL and received the below response. Interesting what routes have already been tested. I will need to revise my question on the second part so they can assist further tho. Interesting the routes that are not suited due to large infrastructure work to accommodate the NBFL. Hope this helps.
"Can you please confirm under the FOI act 2000 what routes have been tested for the New Routemaster so far. Can you also please confirm which routes passed official testing and which routes failed thus preventing the vehicle operating on the route.
The routes which we have tested, which we do not believe the bus would be suitable without varying degrees of infrastructure work are: 7, 14, 19, 22, 23, 74, 94, 139, 168, 414 and C2.
In addition to the eight routes already converted, we have successfully tested the New Bus for London on routes 12, 15, 55, 56, 73, 88, 137, 159 and 205 and the relevant night routes.
Can you also please confirm the reasoning behind the Route 159's withdrawal from Paddington Basin providing any minutes of meetings and emails regarding the build up to the withdrawal.
The full consultation report and our response to issues raised can be found here consultations.tfl.gov.uk/buses/route-159
Unfortunately, to provide copies of emails and meeting minutes you have requested would exceed the ‘appropriate limit’ of £450 set by the Freedom of Information (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004.
Under section 12 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to comply with a request if we estimate that the cost of determining whether we hold the information, locating and retrieving it and extracting it from other information would exceed the appropriate limit. This is calculated at £25 per hour for every hour spent on the activities described.
We have estimated that it would cost approximately £8,511 to provide a response to your current request. This is because it is estimated that it would take 340 working hours to retrieve and compile the information you have requested.
We have been looking at this route since it was extended to Paddington in 2010, therefore having approximately four years of emails. Our initial search showed there are over 8,000 emails potentially pertinent to this issue. These would have to be individually reviewed for duplicates and relevancy which would take a considerable amount of staff time.
To help bring the cost of responding to your request within the £450 limit, you may wish to consider narrowing its scope so that we can more easily locate, retrieve and extract the information you are seeking. If you want to refine your request or make a Freedom of Information Act request in future, please bear in mind that the Freedom of Information Act allows you to request recorded information held by Transport for London. You should identify the information that you want as clearly and concisely as you can, specifying the types of document that you are looking for. You might also consider limiting your request to a shorter period of time, geographical area or specific departments of TfL.
Although your request can take the form of a question, rather than a request for specific documents, TfL does not have to answer your question if it would require the creation of new information or the provision of a judgement, explanation, advice or opinion that was not already recorded at the time of your request.
Please note that we will not be taking further action until we receive your revised request."
