Speaking of tram replacement is there going to be one for 2551 that deraild at Sandilands in 2016? Unlikely, an order for a single tram would not be economically viable ... will be dealt with whenever next tram order is placed.

So no criminal charges are to be brought against the tram crash driver, nor corporate manslaughter charges against TfL. In the case of the tram driver, having the the threat of charges hanging over him for near on three years has to be unacceptable.

All the trams (or at least most) now have a Poppy vinyl applied near the driving cab (exterior). Find that a nice touch by Tramlink to remember those that fought for us

When the the 458/0 were still around South West Trains put on a moustache at the front for Movember looked really cool and a good cause as well.

Remember this case should anyone be charged with a driving offence after falling asleep, involuntarily, at the wheel. I’m not suggesting the tram driver should have been charged at all. But the decision the CPS has made may have set a precedent. It has certainly caused dismay and further despair amongst families concerned. One of which I know personally.

That was my first thought - the families haven’t got full closure as a result of the decision.

I was more making the point that the CPS have taken a hell of a time to make this decision, which is unfair on both families of the deceased and on the driver. The CPS so often these days kicks the can down the road, to use a phrase currently in vogue, Justice delayed is justice denied.

To take so long to decide and then take no further action is quite staggering. I understand an appeal is underway.

It looks like the Bombardier CR4000s have had their LED destination displays updated.

Shame I don't live in Croydon I would love to drive a tram . Who says you have to live in Croydon? Many people live far away from their work place now, I Know people who travel from the New Forest and Oxford to get into London everyday. EDIT. Vacancy is closed now anyway.
