I would've expected one of the 75/197 to get re-routed to West Croydon to make some space for the 405/412/433 considering that they have interchange at Penge and Anerley including sharing multiple stops instead of the 264. The 75 is used by students to Fairfield Halls to reach Croydon College - the alighting point is very handy for this purpose so very glad to see the 75 stay as it is. The 197 would of been the better pick as students would alight at East Croydon in any case as it’s not worth going the next stop to Fairfield Halls when it’s quicker to walk around the corner from East Croydon. The map posted suggests the 405, 412 & 433 will all share the 109’s stand with the 109 which I can’t see how that’s going to work given how many 109’s can be on stand at once. I suspect the 405 & 412 will instead alight at the eastbound Katherine Street stops and then run down Fell Road and stand by the Flyover near the roundabout where the 50 currently stands with the 433 alighting at High Street, Flyover and running to the same stand. The 433 originally was to stand at Fairfield Halls but that seems to have changed The 109 is moving out of that stand and taking over the 50s stand ... So no big issue. Trouble sending the 197 to West Croydon, is it creates extra journeys along Wellesley Road, something the changes were trying to reduce, so this would never have been an option.

Cheers for confirming about the 109 - so Park Street becomes it's first stop? I wasn't advocating the 197 must go to West Croydon but rather I'd pick that ahead of the 75 and you already know I don't agree with the changes to reduce buses through there.

Dont take this as gospel, but believe the route is unchanged, just stops at Fell Road, then passing it's old stand ... that is how I read things. As far as I can work out the 264 stand is not being used ... but probably for the best ... it is not the most suitable

Agree with the 264 stand, was in an awful place

So will/does the 197 set down and pick up at Fairfield Halls then turn swing round the roundabout then turn right then pick up at the Cherry Orchard Road stop. It won't serve any in the high street/Katherine Street area?

It won't serve any in the high street/Katherine Street area? Not 100% sure but I think it will work like the 250 currently does - runs down to the Flyover roundabout, down the slip road to High Street and then up High Street to Katherine Street to stop opposite the Library. What always annoyed me about the 250 & what will likely happen with the 197 is the lack of a pick up at the Fairfield Halls stop - the 75 has always picked up here along with the 154 & 403 but the 250 hasn't done so and I suspect the 197 won't either

Actually the 197 may pick up at the Fairfield Halls stop on the opposite side of the road where the 119/154/466 stop to give common stops to East Croydon. I think it may? even pick up there now or I'm sure it did recently.

I assumed it would continue to work as it currently does

The 197 already stops at the 119/312 stop and would do so even if it ran the way the 250 currently does except serving Katherine Street first as it did when it terminated at Katherine Street. The original point I was making is the 75 stops at both Fairfield Halls stops and has done so for years but yet the 250 has always been excluded and likely the 197 will follow suit as the first 75 stop is the southbound 154/403 stop and then stops at the northbound stop opposite.

Will the 50 pick up at the Fairfield Halls aswell and avoid High Street/Katherine Street?

According to londonbusroutes.net, the Arriva-operated 405 school journeys will continue to run to West Croydon when the main service is cut back to Katharine Street. Seems odd, but perhaps TfL have identified a pattern of travel between the Pampisford Road schools and West Croydon station. If that's the case I wouldn't be surprised to see the school journeys given their own route number at some point.

I was thinking the same about a separate number. If maybe to maintain the link between the school 405 and the 250 and 264 and want to keep the option open at school times. I wonder if there will be titles at the bus stops between Flyover and West Croydon?

According to the new timetable produced for 433, it's last set down will be Whitgift Centre (X26 stand?) and first pickup will be West Croydon Bus Station.
Thought up until now it has been scheduled for Katherine St?? Is this another (very late) reversal, but can't stand at the Bus Station because it is full?
This is contrary to what is on the TfL route changes page.

Originally it was going to be Fairfield Halls with the 197 but with the 250 vacating but the 75 staying and the 50 added I guess there wasn't room for the 433 aswell.
