Yeah, it's been moved to the 23rd May and its subject to installing welfare facilities, however I'm not sure if that's happened yet

Noted that a W13 DD was on stand yesterday at Woodford Wells. One of the E400H Citys. Routes D6 and W13 have been converted to DD too according to this weekend’s news update from LOTS. Route 440 has also been converted to double deckers since 16th May according to LOTS.

I am surprised that the W14 didn't go double decker. Although like W13, it probably may not have been overly busy apart from morning & evening peak. Social distancing would have been easier if double decks were used on it.

Update on full double decking of routes:
Routes 112, 313, 325 and 440 remain double deck.
Routes 190 and 256 have been converted to double deck according to LOTS.
Routes D6 and W13 have reverted to single deck operation.
It is appreciated that some single deck routes may also see the odd double decker and vice versa, the above list does not include routes with mixed allocations.
The recent contract award for Route 200 is for full double deck operation.

When was this posted? 190 had VWs for a short amount of time but single deckers are now back on the route and 440 was fully single decker today.

In Southall, the 120 towards Northolt has been re-routed via Montague Waye and Western Road, due to the section of King Street between Western Road and Norwood Road becoming one-way since Monday 8 June (to allow wider pavements for social distancing). The two stops on this section have been added into the route, and appear on maps + countdown predictions, so the closure + associated re-route is to be there for quite a while.

I’m a bit divided about this change because this just adds an extra few mins to the schedule of the already ridiculously busy 120. Also, Waltham Road, towards Southall, gets jam packed with traffic most peak hours and especially during the weekly events at the Gurdwara on Havelock Road due to the lack of parking there. However, this brings northbound route 120 in line with northbound routes 105, 195, 482, H32, provides same stop interchange for Northbound route 120 and Southbound route E5, which was never possible before and also no old stops are now left unserved by Northbound route 120.

Yeah it is a slightly annoying change, as it's made the bus journey to the station longer and more unpredictable in timing. It was already bad enough losing the stop outside the station in that direction (northbound) while that pavement gets swallowed up for work on the bridge, and instead having to walk back from the next stop. Would be nicer for me if it was diverted via Merrick Road, but that was obviously never going to happen The more important same stop change is the one on Montague Waye, with the routes going towards Brent Road and beyond. Loads of people used to get off at the previous stop on Norwood Road and walk around to Stop F on King Street to make that change, so the current situation is better for them 😄

Yes, I’m sure many people will utilise same stop interchange at Montague Waye now.
