Does anyone know which routes will be receiving the new closed door journeys (school children only) for the new TFL scheme which will be taking place from September and onwards? All I know is T36-T38 have transferred to DT for the 160/492 closed door journeys WS46 which should be for the 383 may actually be working the 395 as Uno are operating the 395’s closed door journeys And said on this forum, SPs are being tested for the 33? Oh this also means Uno operate the 383 and 395 from September, but only one journey on the 395. Only T36 has transferred so far... oh oops

Is there a bespoke thread for these "closed door" services? Not at the moment, I guess that these services will be reported on the Coronavirus thread or the operator threads

I noticed today in Morden that the bus stop tiles for the 154 have been redone without the 24h Weekend line. Sensible I guess as it wont be 24h again till probably atleast late March next year if that is when the night tube is expected to resume.

It would be nice if the followed that logic for spider maps...

Slight shame as some of the weekend routes like the 154 provided the only night service to an area. The 145 aswell

Seems to be placed anywhere where any school route runs. No idea what their reasoning for this is

I saw some of these. Seems completely pointless and a waste of resources. The only reason I can think of is because public now can't use them, but even that don't make much sense to me

The 603 is one of the routes which haven’t changed I think, I’ll update everyone when I go back on Monday. Friday, the 603 still has 603 tiles. Or maybe because it was the 603’s stand but Ill have a look.

Or maybe because it was the 603’s stand but Ill have a look. It would be a shame if the 603 were to be permanently restricted to schoolchildren. It is an oddity in that it has against-the-flow journeys which are mostly used by non-schoolchildren. I used to use the against-the-flow pm journeys quite a lot when I was still in London. I can understand these restrictions during the current situation but if it's to be made permanent, there's not much point in running the against-the-flow 603 journeys in service. Sadly I have a feeling that if they're going to the trouble of changing the tiles, it will probably become permanent.

The 603 provides some useful links, I think it should be introduced as a regular day route using SDs. This could involve a few changes to routes around Hampstead, including splitting the 46. Not sure how routeings in Hampstead could work, in order to continue serving all roads requiring a bus service, though a rerouteing of the C11 to serve Hampstead rather than Adelaide Road & Englands Lane. * The 268 could be revised to operate between Finchley Road and Muswell Hill, via Hampstead, Highgate and East Finchley. Then the 46 rerouted to go between Golders Green and St Bart's Hospital, via Hampstead, Camden and Kings Cross - this could even divert via West Heath Road for new links, rather than via the 210/268. The Western end of the 46 could then be partially replaced by diverting the 332 via Warwick Avenue, then continuing via Paddington to Lancaster Gate - plus a frequency increase on the 187. *The revised 268 could perhaps keep its existing routeing via Belsize Park, while the C11 could divert via the 46 between Swiss Cottage and Hampstead Heath.

Hmm seems a little bit of a mess here but overall good ideas You could just merge the 268 and 603 into a single deck day route and extend it to Lancaster Gate to replace the 46’s western section. You could have a 268 between Muswell Hill and Lancaster Gate and a 46 between Finchley Road and Bart’s Hospital The 603 however does not serve Golders Green so I would suggest extending a route there to Hampstead Heath like the 240 for example or whichever people think is suitable. Would also swap the 46 and 268 routings as the merged 268/603/46 I mentioned would connect together like people from Maida Vale to Lyndhurst Road. Have the Muswell Hill - Lancaster Gate bus run via Lyndhurst Road and the 46 going via Belsize Village instead Piligrim’s Lane bus stop will no longer have a bus if the routings were swapped but it is about a 45 second walk away and the route extended from Golders Green to Hampstead Heath will bring one instead. I suggest the 240. One last thing: This new merged route between Muswell Hill and Lancaster Gate get double deck school journeys like the 143 has because it will be very popular
