www.barkinganddagenhampost.co.uk/news/a13-castle-green-tunnel-proposal-1-6859331I don’t know how this could turn out... So, in general terms, the A13 between Gale Street and A1306 is being replaced by a new tunnel. What will happen to the bus services? I guess the 287 is safe, as TfL wants it on Goresbrook Road, but the 173... I don’t know. A new Overground Station at Renwick Road could also be a part of this. So I guess these things are happening according to this: A new junction at Lodge Avenue/A13/A123. Tunnel for the A13. I guess the bus stops would be accessed through some sort of mini subway.. This ain’t final though, I’m just wondering how you’d think of this, also I didn’t know where to put this post. Correct me if I'm wrong but looking at the picture, the tunnel will run from just after Gale Street (if heading west) right through the Lodge Avenue junction and popping out on Alfreds Way as the Dagenham ASDA junction seems to be in the foreground? If I've got that right, I'd imagine the 173, 287 & 687 would head off Alfred Way along new slip roads avoiding the tunnel, then Lodge Lane, Maplestead Road, Goresbrook Road providing they wish to upgrade the latter two roads to allow buses along safely including the cut off section or as ThinLizzy suggested, build a new road through the development that buses can use. there would probably have to be a "main road" through the development anyway- Goresbrook Road isn't really wide enough to be considered a main road, meaning there wouldn't be a main road between Woodward Road/Hedgemans Road to the north and the railway to the south. There would also still be a need for roads to access Scrattons Farm, Dagenham Asda and Merrilands Retail Park. Maybe the current A13 would be redeveloped like the old part of the A13 between Dagenham and Rainham.

If they are planning to build 12,000 new homes in the area, the whole road network will need an uplift. Can't build that many homes, then complain about the congestion, if nothing is done to mitigate the issue.

I know I'm a pedant but please dont keep talking about bus types on this thread BE CE VN means nothing. And AFAIK ??does this mean as far as I know?if it does say it stop using acronyms .thank you stay safe I remember when I first reached out to other enthusiasts online and they used solely bus fleetcodes to refer to them. But I learned it all, alongside garage codes. Some buses are literally primarily known by their fleeetcode over their model - nobody really calls RTs "AEC Regent Threes", nor RFs - "AEC Regal Fours" 😂 When you don't know them, it can be confusing. But as others have said, it can be googled, and at one point I intend to finish off a spreadsheet where every bus model is broken down to its fleetcodes per operator, as a guide to those who may not know. But it's surprisingly time consuming, and I've lately been busy with my new job so there we go 😂 "AFAIK" is netspeak, but most of the ones thrown around the forum are quite commonly used abbreviations anyway. P.S. BE is a BYD K9UR Enviro200EV operated by RATP. CE is not currently used as a fleet code. VN is a Wright Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL originally operated by First London, and that 2 letter designation has also been recycled by Tower Transit to number these (in other words, the fleet # did not change once these buses transferred into TT ownership)

If you want to part of conversations either learn or ask what they mean ... Sorry acronyms are part and parcel of a forum ...

Let's just hope if they do the works over there the traffic is not as bad as when the Movers Lane flyover was removed and thus creating the flyunder back in the early 2000s

It appears that TfL have decided not to publish the London Service Permit (LSP) 8th September version is on the link which shows that a replacement should have been issued 21st September, but seems not to have been. content.tfl.gov.uk/lsp-bulletin.pdf
